I have been in practice for over 10 years in various different settings and with different populations. I will meet you where you are and help you move to where you want to be. You are the expert of you and I am here to guide. There is no ideal client-I encourage honesty and continuous learning. I am currently working towards my doctorate.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Welcome to your first counseling session. Our primary goal today is to establish a comfortable and supportive environment where you can feel heard and understood. We will take this time to get to know each other, allowing you to share what has prompted you to seek counseling and what you hope to achieve through our work together. I will explain the importance of confidentiality and the boundaries that ensure a safe space for exploration. Additionally, we will discuss the process of therapy, outlining the techniques and strategies that may be employed to address your concerns. Please feel free to ask any questions or express any reservations you may have. Our collaboration is founded on mutual trust and respect, and I am committed to supporting you on this journey towards growth and well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work with people who struggle with addiction, ADHD, adoption, depression, anxiety, religious trauma and a multitude of other issues. I am blunt and willing to address when I am in the wrong. I have a desire to learn from others and to not be stuck in my own way of thinking.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Adults ages 18 and up are the ideal for prospective clients however I can work with 12 year olds and older as well as couples.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy fosters a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. I use empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard to support self-exploration and growth. Rather than giving advice, I help clients trust their inner wisdom, promoting self-awareness, autonomy, and meaningful personal change.

Help me talk through some anxiety I’m having with the upcoming holidays and my test and helped me reframe how I look at them and know how to approach both in a way that help keep me and my family happy.

Note: Would also select "Humorous", "Intelligent", "Open-minded", and "Empowering" if I was able. I've been working with Sarah for some time now, and couldn't be more pleased. Perhaps most importantly, they make me feel comfortable to talk about anything that's come up. Sarah is wonderful with both helping me understand and navigate the things that arise between sessions, and keeping gentle -- but consistent -- pressure to dig into topics that are only unwound over time. 11/10.

I've been with Sarah since before she joined Grow Therapy, and she is the best therapist I've had over the years. She makes me feel heard and comfortable to share my experiences, while offering as many solutions as she can. I am very appreciative of the hard work and dedication she has to her patients, and am glad to be one. :}
