I have been in practice for over 10 years in various different settings and with different populations. I will meet you where you are and help you move to where you want to be. You are the expert of you and I am here to guide. There is no ideal client-I encourage honesty and continuous learning. I am currently working towards my doctorate.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Welcome to your first counseling session. Our primary goal today is to establish a comfortable and supportive environment where you can feel heard and understood. We will take this time to get to know each other, allowing you to share what has prompted you to seek counseling and what you hope to achieve through our work together. I will explain the importance of confidentiality and the boundaries that ensure a safe space for exploration. Additionally, we will discuss the process of therapy, outlining the techniques and strategies that may be employed to address your concerns. Please feel free to ask any questions or express any reservations you may have. Our collaboration is founded on mutual trust and respect, and I am committed to supporting you on this journey towards growth and well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work with people who struggle with addiction, ADHD, adoption, depression, anxiety, religious trauma and a multitude of other issues. I am blunt and willing to address when I am in the wrong. I have a desire to learn from others and to not be stuck in my own way of thinking.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Adults ages 18 and up are the ideal for prospective clients however I can work with 12 year olds and older as well as couples.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy fosters a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. I use empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard to support self-exploration and growth. Rather than giving advice, I help clients trust their inner wisdom, promoting self-awareness, autonomy, and meaningful personal change.

Sarah has been a tremendous help while going through a very difficult period of change and handling struggles including my marriage most likely ending (not yet but trying to work things out with wife has not been going well even with couples counseling). Sarah has been very warm and open-minded offering many suggestions and strategies for everything from coping and tracing thoughts/emotions to having better interactions and being more empowered. She gives direct "real talk" which I appreciate.

Sarah made me feel seen. She listened to my concerns and unique life circumstances, and instead of speaking to me like a therapists general expected nonsense, she related to me on a human level and just one session with her helped me to be easier on myself, to accept that we all make mistakes, but its the getting back up after we fall that matters. Thank You Sarah, for seeing me as a human being with real issues, and not just another case number. God bless you
