I’m Diana Ries, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in counseling and healthcare. I offer a compassionate, direct, and results-focused approach that helps clients get to the root of emotional and relational struggles. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space, provide practical tools, and help clients leave with clarity, confidence, and hope in healing.
Your first session with me is focused on creating a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We will talk about what brought you in, identify what you’re struggling with, and begin making sense of it together. You’ll leave with practical tools you can start using right away, and most importantly, a sense of hope that healing and change are possible.
What sets my approach apart is my ability to get to the root of what’s really driving emotional pain and stuck patterns. Many clients tell me they’ve been in counseling for years but never fully understood why they struggle the way they do until now. I offer a direct yet compassionate approach that helps clients connect the dots, gain clarity, and experience real change. With hundreds of positive client outcomes, my work is focused on practical insight, emotional safety, and lasting transformation.
My ideal client is someone who feels emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and is ready to better understand themselves and their patterns. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, shame, or relationship challenges and are open to doing the inner work needed for meaningful change.

Diana, is the most engaging and thoughtful person I know. Her superpowers are her personal connection & empathy. She hears me, understands where I'm coming from, and always provides spot-on solutions to navigate whatever I'm going through. Seeing Diana and strengthening my mental health and emotional regulation is as important as exercising, eating well, getting enough sleep and working hard. Without her mental exercises and tools, I'd be half the person I am with her help. Diana is awesome!

Diana was quick to grasp my current life challenges. She helped me understand my situation and my options. Her directness made me feel very comfortable with her.

Diana spoke at a prayer group meeting that I belong to and I knew I felt “safe” with her just from that brief encounter. I appreciate her candidness and she’s not afraid to be frank with me on her feedback, which is done in a loving way.
