LCSW, 7 years of experience
HI! I’m Josh. Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsatisfied regularly? Do you feel that you may need more balance in your life? Do you struggle with self-care? I have experience with helping individuals who have suffered trauma, major life changes/challenges, conflict and other stressors that have negatively impacted their lives. I have a passion for helping others work through past pain so that they can improve their future. My goal for every individual I serve is to help them become their strongest version. I strive to create a safe and healthy space for everyone and meet everyone with compassion. I utilize several evidence-based therapy techniques and some humor now and then. Taking the step towards engaging in therapy can be extremely difficult and scary, but it is one of the best decisions you can make for yourself.
I utilize the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Minfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Solution-Focused Therapy, and several others. My favorite modality to use is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as it allows me to utilize metaphors and other techniques to help promote healing.
I have found the most success working with individuals who have experienced trauma and other major life stressors. I utilize a laid-back approach which allows me to help individuals overcome fears related to judgment and therapy in general.

I've seen many different therapists throughout the years. This one listens and challenges me with homework and teaching me ways to cope that I have never been exposed to. I look forward to my weekly sessions.

Josh was amazing during our first session. I really like how he listened, asked hard hitting questions, and acknowledged how I was feeling. He really digs into what can be triggering you even if you are not aware of what is triggering your feelings. I have never felt excited to continue with a therapist before and I really look forward to my next session with Josh!
