Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I am licensed in several states including Florida, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee and Nevada. I received my Masters from the University of Kansas and have been practicing for 20 years. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, motivation, self esteem and confidence, & depression. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. I am here to be a support and guide to help you feel better and move forward in your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create a tailored plan and goals for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with clients as young as children to the older population. I start where the client is at and am a great listener without judgement. I provide a safe space to share and process struggles while celebrating the successes.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a goal structured approach that helps people become aware of negative or inaccurate thinking patterns so they can respond to challenging situations more effectively.

Strength-Based

Strength-based therapy focuses client's strengths and resources to help them develop coping techniques and move toward more positive emotional mindframes. It can help people understand their strengths and weaknesses, and retell their personal history of trauma, stressors, and pain in a way that emphasizes their strengths and resilience as a survivor rather than as a victim.

Grief Therapy

Working thru grief and loss is not a linear path and is different for everyone. Understanding and processing thru the five stages of grief – denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance is how I use grief therapy in my practice.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy is a form of cognitive therapy that incorporates mindfulness practices that include present moment awareness, meditation, and breathing exercises. It helps form a calm mind and learn to be more intentional in everyday life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Therapy is short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
