New clients continue care with this provider
Hi! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been practicing for several years. I work with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered to build healthier coping skills, improve communication, and develop greater self-awareness. Together, we work toward feeling more confident, connected, and emotionally balanced.
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where we’ll begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing them to therapy, their current challenges, and what goals they’d like to work toward. We’ll go at their pace, there’s no pressure to share everything right away. My priority is to help clients feel safe, heard, and supported as we start building a foundation for our work together.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard. I’m empathetic, patient, and attuned to each client’s unique needs. I also bring a strong balance of compassion and structure, helping clients feel supported while guiding them toward meaningful growth. Whether I’m working with a child, teen, or young adult, I focus on building trust and tailoring my approach to help them feel empowered and understood.
I love working with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating big emotions and major transitions in their lives. My clients are often thoughtful, and eager to feel better, but may not yet have the tools to manage the challenges they’re facing. They often feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of how to cope and I help them build the skills and confidence to move forward with more clarity and emotional balance.
I regularly use CBT in my practice to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I tailor the approach based on age and presenting concerns, using worksheets, games, and visuals for children, and journaling, thought records, and cognitive restructuring with teens and adults. CBT allows me to teach practical skills for managing anxiety, depression, and overall emotional regulation.
I use ACT to help clients build psychological flexibility by teaching them to accept difficult thoughts and feelings, connect with their values, and commit to meaningful actions. I incorporate mindfulness, values clarification, and cognitive defusion techniques to reduce the impact of unhelpful thoughts. ACT is especially helpful for clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and life transitions, as it encourages acceptance and movement toward what truly matters.
I use a person-centered approach to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and accepted. By offering empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness, I support clients in exploring their emotions and developing self-awareness. This approach helps build a strong therapeutic relationship and empowers clients to find their own solutions and grow at their own pace.
I use play therapy to help children express emotions, develop coping skills, and work through challenges in a developmentally appropriate way. Through structured and unstructured play, I observe themes and behaviors, build rapport, and support emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving. Play becomes the child’s language and allows for deeper therapeutic work in a safe, engaging environment.
