New to Grow
I’m Heather, a licensed therapist dedicated to supporting people through anxiety, relationship struggles, and life transitions. I believe therapy should feel both safe and empowering, and I strive to create an environment where you feel understood, accepted, and encouraged to grow. My approach is collaborative — we’ll work together to identify what’s holding you back, build on your strengths, and develop strategies that foster lasting healing and change. Whether you’re navigating stress, working to improve communication, or seeking clarity during a major life shift, my goal is to help you move forward with resilience, confidence, and hope.
During your first session, we’ll slow down and focus on you — your story, your strengths, and the areas you’d like to see change. It’s a chance for you to share at your own pace, ask questions about therapy, and start shaping goals that feel realistic and meaningful. My role is to guide and support, so you’ll leave knowing you’re not alone in this process.
My therapeutic style combines structure with compassion. I use evidence-based therapies like CBT and EFT, while also tailoring each session to the unique needs of the person or couple in front of me. This creates a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to create meaningful results.
I serve adults, couples, and families who are striving for healthier relationships, greater emotional balance, and stronger coping skills. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, adjusting to a major life change, or working to improve connection with loved ones, I meet you where you are and guide you toward meaningful growth.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my work because it gives clients practical tools to understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In sessions, I help people recognize unhelpful thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with healthier perspectives. I also use strategies like goal-setting, coping skills, and small homework exercises so clients can practice what we talk about in real life. My goal is to make therapy collaborative and empowering, so clients leave with tools they can continue to use long after our sessions.
I also draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which focuses on strengthening relationships by exploring the emotions underneath patterns of conflict or disconnection. In sessions, I help clients identify the deeper needs driving their reactions and create space for more honest, supportive conversations. The goal is to break unhelpful cycles, build trust, and foster stronger emotional bonds.
