(he/him)
Hello! I’m a licensed clinical social worker with a master’s degree from Fordham University. With over a decade of experience working with families and children in New York City, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. My approach is compassionate and nonjudgmental, meeting you where you are to explore how your thoughts influence your experiences. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful change, helping you overcome obstacles and build a more fulfilling life.
In our initial session, we’ll focus on establishing a strong foundation by getting to know each other and building a trusting rapport. A solid therapist-client relationship is crucial for effective therapy. Together, we’ll identify and prioritize the areas you’d like to address, ensuring you leave with a clear sense of direction and confidence in our collaborative journey. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you feel understood and empowered to navigate the path ahead.
I am dedicated to meeting you where you are, fostering a non-judgmental environment that promotes genuine understanding. By employing a holistic approach, I assess your experiences comprehensively, ensuring that all aspects of your well-being are considered. While I offer kindness and empathy, I am also prepared to provide the necessary firmness to help you achieve your goals. As an attentive listener, I strive to uncover encouragement even in challenging situations, guiding you toward a path of growth and resilience.
Facing the dual challenges of poverty and a stage 4 cancer diagnosis at age 11 instilled in me a profound resilience and an unwavering determination to overcome any obstacle. I am committed to helping you discover the solutions you need to progress toward the life you deserve. We all benefit from someone who offers honest insight, recognizes our true selves, and believes in our potential. If you’re seeking encouragement or assistance in outlining steps to achieve your goals, I am here to guide you.

Had a couples session with Javier and really liked his style. He’s direct, solution-oriented, and doesn’t waste time with fluff. He also has a good sense of humor, which made the session feel comfortable and productive and helped my husband come out of his shell. Highly recommend.
