LCSW, 13 years of experience
New to Grow
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience across diverse settings, I am committed to meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique journeys - emotionally, mentally, and situationally. Rooted in empathy, collaboration, and respect my approach centers on recognizing and building upon each individual's inherent strengths, empowering them to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and begin to build a supportive relationship. I will seek to understand your unique situation, challenges, and goals. Together, we will start to develop a plan to help you move forward and improve your mental health and well-being. You can expect me to listen attentively, ask questions to gain clarity, and provide guidance to start you on your therapeutic journey.
My greatest strength is my diverse background in supporting others in their season of change, personal growth, and improvement.
You are the ideal client. If you're looking for an empathetic ear, validation, and support in making change, I am here for you. You are the leader of your life. I look forward to supporting you in becoming the best leader you can be!
I have used Solution Focused Therapy for more than 8 years to help clients diminish or resolve challenges they are experiencing by supporting them in identifying their achievements, teasing out their strengths, strategies, and choices that supported their success so they can do it again.
I have used Motivational interviewing for more than 10 years. It is a non-confrontational strength- based intervention that promotes autonomy and empowerment. I use this intervention with clients who are struggling with the idea of change. You may "know" changes should be made to achieve new things in your life but unsure if you want to or how to make these changes.
Much like Solution Focused interventions strength based interventions focus on what you're already good at and building on those skills, making them applicable in a multitude of areas of your life. I truly believe that regardless of the challenges you face you have the skills/ability to overcome and I am the catalyst to support you in realizing your potential and growing into the person you wish to become.
I have used mindfulness based interventions for more than 10 years. I do have training in Dialectical Behavior therapy, but more often use strength based approaches and supplement with mindfulness skill building to assist in helping clients, you, remain in the present. As important as our past is, as much as our past has shaped us into the individuals we are, does not mean we need to live in it; especially if our past is what has helped create our challenges.
CBT is a corner stone intervention in the world of therapy. It helps us question our rigid thinking patterns, by learning how to identify them, engage in reframing and moving forward to behavioral change. I will use these principles to help you identify and challenge any ineffective, unhelpful or adverse reactions you experience so you can improve/change these automations to effective and helpful reactions.
