Hi, I’m Jennifer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and anxiety focused therapist passionate about helping individuals feel more in control of their lives and emotions. I provide a supportive, structured, and evidence-based approach to therapy, using modalities such as ERP, CBT, ACT, and DBT to help clients develop practical tools for lasting change. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful growth and healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will take time to discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you have been experiencing, and the goals you hope to work toward. I’ll ask questions to better understand your symptoms, patterns, stressors, and personal history so we can begin creating a treatment approach tailored to your needs. You can also expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we start identifying practical tools and next steps to help you feel more grounded and confident moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my approach unique is the combination of professional clinical training and lived experience, which allows me to connect with clients from both an evidence-based and deeply human perspective. I understand how overwhelming anxiety, stress, intrusive thoughts, and emotional overwhelm can feel, and I strive to create a therapy experience that is supportive, practical, and genuinely collaborative. My approach is active and goal oriented, helping clients build insight, develop effective coping tools, increase confidence, and make meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, OCD, stress, or life transitions who is ready for a more active and structured approach to therapy. They may feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, avoidance, intrusive thoughts, or emotional overwhelm and are looking for practical tools and strategies that create real change. Together, we will work collaboratively to build insight, develop coping skills, and take meaningful steps toward feeling less anxious, more confident and moving towards their identified goals.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use the ACT approach to help clients stop struggling with anxiety, worry and OCD. Together we focus on learning how to unhook from anxious thoughts, responding to anxiety with more flexibility, less avoidance and move towards a life aligned with your values.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

Using evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), we take a step-by-step approach to change your relationship with anxiety and break the cycles that keep it going. Together, we identify triggers and patterns such as avoidance, overthinking, reassurance-seeking, and the urge to control or push thoughts away. From there, we create manageable exposure steps to help you face fears, build tolerance for uncertainty, and develop practical tools that work in everyday life. ERP is an active, collaborative approach that includes practice and homework between sessions to support lasting change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps you better understand and manage intense emotions without feeling controlled by them. Together, we build practical skills to cope with overwhelm, reduce impulsive reactions, improve communication, and respond to stress in healthier ways. DBT focuses on creating balance, learning how to accept your emotions while also making meaningful changes that support long-term growth.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, or emotional overwhelm. Together, we explore cognitive distortions such as catastrophizing, overthinking or “worst-case scenario” thinking, and learn how to challenge and reframe them in a more balanced, realistic way. The goal is to help you develop healthier thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and respond to situations with greater clarity and confidence

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build on the strengths, resilience, and abilities they already have. Together, we identify personal qualities, coping skills, and past successes that can be used to navigate challenges with greater confidence and self-trust. By focusing on what is already working, this approach helps support growth, empowerment, and lasting emotional resilience.
