Hello, I’m so happy you’re here. My name is Nisha and I am a Psychotherapist who is fully licensed in mental health counseling. I am also the founder of Therapy Island, a global sanctuary dedicated to healing and growth. If you are a determined individual standing at the crossroads of change, grappling with feelings of dissatisfaction and unfulfillment in various aspects of your life, then you have come to the right place. I am here to serve as a guide to assist you as you navigate through life’s challenges.
In your first session with me, expect a warm and welcoming environment. You will be encouraged to share your thoughts and feelings. The first session will typically begin with me introducing myself and explaining the therapeutic process, including confidentiality and what you can expect moving forward. You will have the opportunity to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your background, and any specific challenges you’re facing. The initial meeting is often focused on building rapport, and establishing a foundation for future sessions, allowing you to feel heard and understood.
My greatest strength as a provider is meeting you where you are and elevating you to where you want to be. I have almost a decade of experience in empowering clients to take an active role in their healing journey, equipping them with practical tools and strategies to navigate life’s complexities. I assist with exploring patterns, beliefs, and emotions, fostering self-awareness and resilience. In essence, the ultimate aim is to inspire personal growth and transformation, empowering you to triumph over life’s challenges.
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, empowerment, and holistic understanding. I believe in creating a safe and welcoming environment, where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings without judgment. By actively listening and validating their experiences, I work alongside clients to uncover the root causes of their struggles.

I felt comfortable. She was considered and accommodating from the very 1st session. It was easy for me to open up and share. She asked some specific questions and I hope I answered them. I'm looking forward my next session. I am sure these therapy sessions will have a positive impact and will transform my life in a very positive way.

I’m sharing this based on my experience in therapy. I felt pushed to disclose personal trauma before I was ready, and uncomfortable being compared to other patients after only one session. After sharing my concerns, the response felt more judgmental than supportive. I left feeling emotionally exposed and not understood. There was also a lack of consistency appointments were cancelled or rescheduled without clear notice, and I received confirmations for times I wasn’t aware of.
