Kendall Barron
I’m Kendall Barron, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a background in school‑based mental health, now dedicated to supporting clients through telehealth.
For the past five years, I have spent my career working as a school-based mental health counselor, supporting children, adolescents, and families through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
Over the years, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges, which has shaped my ability to understand patterns, listen deeply, and offer practical tools that truly help. I create a supportive and collaborative space where you can feel heard, gain clarity, and build the confidence needed to move toward meaningful change.
First session
Once we've made introductions, we will start with the basics—reviewing consent, privacy, and how telehealth works—so you know exactly what to expect and how your information stays protected. The remainder of the session is really about getting to know you. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, symptoms, and possible stressors that might be affecting you. I'll also ask about your personal, medical and any prior mental health history so I can get a clearer picture of what you've been navigating. From there, we will spend time figuring out what you want to get out of therapy. Together, we will identify some treatment goals that feel realistic and meaningful, and we will talk through some practical steps we can take to help you reach them.
Strengths
I offer a welcoming space where you can show up exactly as you are, while also helping you step back and see the bigger picture of what’s shaping your patterns and experiences. I take time to really listen, so you feel understood—not rushed or judged—and I help you make sense of the “why” behind what you’re feeling or doing. I bring practical tools you can use in everyday life, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to help you feel supported and confident as you gain clarity, build insight, and create meaningful change in your life.
Ideal clients
I work with individuals navigating a variety of life challenges. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or depression, I help you understand your patterns, build coping skills, and find strategies that support your mood and well‑being. If low self-esteem, questions about purpose, or spiritual concerns are getting in the way, I’m here to help you strengthen your confidence and develop tools that align with your values. If you are looking for a safe, non-judgmental space to grow emotionally, personally, and spiritually while creating meaningful, lasting change - You have come to the right place!
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In sessions, we look at the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and explore more helpful ways of thinking and responding.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness to help you slow down, tune into what’s happening internally, and respond with more clarity instead of reacting out of stress or habit. This might look like guided breathing, noticing patterns in your body, or learning how to stay present during tough moments. It’s all about helping you feel more grounded and connected to yourself.
