New to Grow
Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make that first step a little easier. I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are without fear of judgment. I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach to help you navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem, and the emotional impact of chronic health conditions. Together, we'll work at your pace to build insight, develop coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. See you in session!
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions about your background, relationships, and experiences to better understand your unique story, but you are always welcome to share at your own pace. Together, we'll identify your goals and begin creating a plan that feels right for you. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and deciding whether we're a good fit.
While I know the importance of holding space and meeting you with compassion, I'm also not afraid to ask thoughtful questions, explore different perspectives, and gently challenge unhelpful patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I like to consider all avenues when helping clients navigate life's challenges because there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I welcome your feedback throughout treatment so we can tailor our work to what feels most helpful for you. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe, understood, and empowered while we work together toward meaningful, lasting change.
There isn't one "ideal" client in my practice. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, burnout, the emotional challenges of living with a chronic medical condition (just to name a few!), we'll work together to find an approach that fits your unique needs. I value curiosity, honesty, and collaboration. I believe therapy should leave you feeling both supported and gently challenged as you move closer toward your goals.
