Hi! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), in the state of Florida. I completed my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. I have been in the field of mental health for 4 years, working in the inpatient, and outpatient settings. I have experience working at an involuntary psychiatric unit, in community mental health and now in private practice. I help my clients explore their anxiety, improve their self-esteem, gain insight into themselves, and support them through changes and transitions in life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In their first session with me, I try to get to know my client, who they are, how they relate others, and what is important to them. My clients can expect to have a safe space where they can share what brought them to therapy, what they are hoping to achieve, and how I can support them in their journey of growth and self-discovery.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are my compassion and kindness, as well as my listening skills. I look at my clients with the intention to understand what they are going through and not to judge. My approach is caring and supportive, I am here to listen with empathy, but I am also able to point out areas for growth in a respectful manner. I know just the thought of being vulnerable and exploring your fears can be daunting, but I am here with you through it all. I am committed to my clients and their wellbeing.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with clients that want to know themselves better and identify how past experiences have impacted who they are today. My clients are sometimes struggling with their own negative inner voice that tells them they are not good enough but want that voice to be silenced. My clients want to grow as individuals, improve their quality of life, align their choices with those that would be made by their most genuine self, and learn to be compassionate towards themselves.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my years of practice, I have used CBT as a way to help clients to recognize their triggers, symptoms, thought and behavior patterns, to help provide insight into what they are experiencing. CBT has also allowed me to provide my client with tools to help them manage their symptoms.

Integrative

In my experience, using an integrative approach has helped me use interventions from other types of therapy and provided me with a bigger toolbox to choose from when helping my clients. As human beings, we are all unique and what may work for one person might not work for another. Using an integrative approach, I am better able to serve my clients taking into account their individuality.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In my years of practice, a mindfulness-based approach has helped my clients in bringing themselves back to the present moment, especially for those who suffer from anxiety, overthinking, and have a hard time relaxing or giving up control. Mindfulness gives the client the opportunity to sit with themselves, tune out the distractions and connect with their innermost thought and their most genuine self.
