Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Lamar University and have been practicing for over a year. I specialize in helping teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety. Through a compassionate and client-centered approach, I work with my clients to understand the root causes of their anxiety and develop effective coping strategies. Whether you’re facing daily stress, overwhelm, or persistent worry, I’m here to support you in building resilience and creating lasting change in your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. I’ll listen closely to understand your unique situation and goals, which will help me create a personalized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. This initial conversation is all about getting to know you and setting the foundation for meaningful progress as we move forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. My ability to actively listen allows me to truly connect with clients and tailor the therapeutic process to their unique needs. I believe in working together with my clients to set realistic goals and develop actionable steps for change. I empower individuals to take an active role in their own healing journey, which helps build trust and motivation. I have a deep understanding of how anxiety can impact both teens and adults, and I’m skilled in helping clients navigate its challenges. I offer practical tools and strategies to reduce anxiety and build resilience. I take a solution-focused approach, focusing on your strengths, resources, and goals. I guide clients toward finding practical solutions that work for them, helping them move from feeling stuck to making positive change. I am committed to understanding and respecting the diverse backgrounds, values, and experiences of my clients. I tailor my approach to be culturally competent and inclusive, ensuring every client feels seen and understood. I approach therapy with compassion and an open mind, ensuring clients feel safe to explore their feelings, struggles, and goals without fear of judgment.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

In strength-based therapy, I focus on helping you recognize and build upon your unique strengths and resources. Instead of just focusing on problems or weaknesses, we work together to uncover your resilience, skills, and positive qualities. By highlighting what you’re already good at, I aim to empower you to overcome challenges, boost your confidence, and create lasting positive change in your life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In therapy, I have used Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths and resources, focusing on solutions rather than problems. Together, we explore what’s working in your life and build on those successes to create positive change. This approach is practical and goal-oriented, helping you move forward quickly by developing actionable steps to overcome challenges.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build mental flexibility by accepting difficult emotions and thoughts, rather than trying to avoid or fight them. In ACT, we focus on helping you get clear on your values and what truly matters to you, and then work together to take action toward those values, even in the presence of anxiety or discomfort. Through mindfulness techniques and cognitive strategies, we challenge unhelpful thought patterns and encourage you to commit to behaviors that align with your long-term goals, fostering greater emotional well-being and resilience.
