In peace and love I welcome you. My name is Bria Young and I am an LMHC based in the state of Florida. I have years of experience with assisting individuals in finding the balance that they desire to have for their life. I am a nontraditional therapist that is intentional about giving quality care without judgment. My job is not to tell you what to do. I am here to assist you in recognizing what is best for you in your life. I provide encouragement, understanding, empathy, authenticity, and insightfully inspiring realism.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will engage in activating the start of building a trusting therapeutic relationship through brief introductions and becoming aware of each other's boundaries to be sure that effective communication is held to a top priority. Then you as the client will be able to start exploring some of the challenges you are facing freely and without judgement.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an actively involved therapist. I do engage in checking in with clients that are okay with me doing so. I am very supportive, encouraging, and always big on acknowledging clients strengths.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am intentional about incorporating some CBT within sessions with clients because it is important to restructure the mind in a way that makes individuals more open and available to be accepting of change without judgement.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Therapy is a commitment not just from me with assisting individuals in helping themselves, but it is also a commitment that individuals make to their self to be dedicated in accepting the things that they want to replace to be able to be at their best.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotions are present even when we may try to bury them. Many will find their emotions to be foreign because of the dismissing that has gone on consistently from others including their own self. Understanding emotions and how they apply in your life throughout different experiences one has had is significant in the process of healing.
