Hello! My name is Sandra Randall, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in California and soon-to-be in Florida. With a Master of Social Work from San Jose State University and over seven years of experience, I am dedicated to guiding individuals as they navigate life's challenges and transitions. As a former military spouse and an experienced hospice and hospital social worker, I deeply understand the emotional weight of unmet expectations and unforeseen life changes. My approach emphasizes uncovering your unique strengths and creative potential to empower you in difficult moments. Drawing from a rich tapestry of personal experiences and a faith-informed perspective, I bring both empathy and insight to the therapeutic process. Whether you’re facing grief, loss, or other challenges, I am here to walk alongside you with compassion and support. Together, we can navigate this journey and work toward healing and growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will just get to know you and the circumstances that have brought you to our meeting. With that insight, a plan can be established of how to best move forward, utilizing your strengths and input.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In life, nothing ever goes wasted. My life experience, paired with my creative nature and willingness to explore and learn, lends itself to empathic and authentic encounters where clients can feel heard, seen and encouraged to heal and grow.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with parents-to-be and postpartum moms and dads as they navigate the waters of perinatal mental health and unique changes after baby arrives. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoy serving NICU parents who are struggling with their unexpected "birth story". From my experience as a hospice and hospital social worker, I have learned the value of multicultural therapy working with those experiencing anxiety, depression and grief, (whether it is from loss due to end-of-life, medical illness, life transitions or the violation of their expectations), as well as those with religious trauma.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am a huge advocate for encouraging individuals to modify and reset their thinking and in turn, change their behaviors. I attempt to take the current status of the client and work with him/her/them to develop more effective coping strategies to move forward in a positive direction.

Motivational Interviewing

I appreciate the collaborative nature of this modality, as it focuses on change coming from the client as opposed to the therapist. This is a beautiful partnership that affords client self-efficacy and his/her/their accepting responsibility for making the necessary change.

Strength-Based

Each person is born with innate gifts and I feel it is imperative to encourage and develop those strengths to learn how each individual can cope best with his/her/their current condition.
