About me

I’m a down-to-earth person who enjoys connecting with people and hearing their stories. I’m curious by nature, enjoy learning, and believe there is always room to grow. I value honesty, family, faith, community, and treating people with respect. I also enjoy music, creativity, and working with my hands. My own journey has taught me that life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect it to. There can be seasons when we have to start over, make difficult decisions, adapt to change, or simply figure out how to keep going when things feel overwhelming.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I think one of my biggest strengths is my ability to listen and really hear what someone is saying. I’m patient, curious, and able to look at situations from different perspectives. I also bring honesty and a practical mindset to my sessions. I’m comfortable having real conversations, asking difficult questions when needed, and helping clients work through things without making them feel judged.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns and look at how they may be affecting the way they respond to situations. I then work with clients to develop more balanced ways of thinking and practical strategies they can use in their everyday lives. I challenge unhelpful thought patterns in ways that help you to learn more about how you view the world.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore what they want to change and what may be getting in the way. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I work with them to identify their own reasons for change and build on their strengths and motivation. I use a supportive, nonjudgmental approach that allows clients to move toward change at their own pace while still working toward meaningful goals.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach by creating a safe, respectful, and supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. I recognize that past experiences can affect how people think, feel, and respond in the present. I work with clients at their own pace, focusing on their strengths and helping them develop healthy functioning while maintaining a sense of control and choice throughout the therapeutic process.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify what they want to be different and focus on practical steps toward those goals. I help clients recognize their strengths, past successes, and existing resources that they can build on. Rather than focusing only on the problem, I work with clients to identify realistic changes they can make and build momentum toward a more satisfying life.
