Maybe you’re feeling weighed down by anxiety or a sadness that just won’t lift. Perhaps you’re a new parent navigating the beautiful, exhausting, and overwhelming journey of postpartum life, or you’re in a constant struggle with food and your body. You might be in a difficult transition, feeling unsteady and unsure how to find your footing. If you’re looking for a supportive space to untangle these feelings and build a more peaceful, meaningful life, I’m here to help. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience walking alongside adults through these specific challenges. My practice is dedicated to supporting individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, disordered eating, and the emotional journey of postpartum and new parenthood. I also work well with people facing life transitions who want to develop stronger emotional regulation and coping skills. My approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a judgment-free space, thoughtful questions, and practical tools to help you uncover your own strengths. Together, we’ll connect the dots between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and I’ll introduce skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness that you can practice and use in your daily life. It’s a collaborative process, less about me directing you, and more about me supporting you as you gain clarity and confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

After we connect for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit, our first full session is about understanding your story. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. We’ll complete the necessary intake information together, and I may ask questions to better understand your experiences. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, with a clear sense of how we might move forward together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My experience is shaped by deep, specialized work. For five years, I worked in a residential eating disorder treatment center with women and teens, which grounds my practice in the Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size® frameworks. I believe in compassionate, body-neutral care. I’ve also worked within a university pediatric practice, providing early intervention and support to postpartum parents, helping them navigate the profound shift into motherhood or fatherhood. Having worked in residential, outpatient, and community settings with incredibly diverse populations, I actively use a multicultural lens. I honor how your background, culture, and identity shape your world and our work together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults (18+) seeking help for the areas mentioned above. My practice is primarily focused on individual therapy. To ensure the best care for everyone, there are areas outside my current scope of practice. I do not provide court-mandated therapy, custody evaluation services, or treatment primarily for active addiction, psychosis, or significant personality disorders. If your needs fall outside my specialties, I am committed to helping you find a more suitable therapist.

Kathryn has changed my life. I have been seeing her for a few years now and would recommend her to anyone who feels like they have been struggling to find a therapist that they can really connect and be vulnerable with. Her passion and dedication shine through in her approach and she has provided me with the tools that have helped me significantly improve every relationship in my life, but especially my relationship with myself. She is incredible!
