Hello, my name is Dr. Sofia Georgoulias and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, who was born in London, United Kingdom and later moved to the United States to pursue my career in Psychology.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families and have specialty working with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self esteem struggles, bullying, heart break, substance use and with first responders.
First session
During the first session, we will spend time to get to know one another where I will provide a safe environment for you to hopefully share some of your goals and what you would like to get out of therapy.
Strengths
One of my main goals is to instill hope in individuals who may temporarily feel hopeless, stuck or lost and serve as a reminder that we can all change our situation (or view of our situation) with a little bit of help.
Ideal clients
I believe establishing a safe environment to talk and building a trusting relationship is essential in building a therapeutic relationship. However, l also understand that gaining trust requires time. Although I have training in differing treatment orientations, I change the treatment or combine techniques, depending on what the individual feels most comfortable with.

I have 15 years experience with CBT Therapy. Looking at the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors and reframing unhealthy thoughts when needed, can help you change the way you think about challenging situations which then allows you to view your problems in a more positive lught.
