You want to change your feelings, thoughts, or behaviors, but every time you try, it blows up in your face. (Not literally...hopefully.) How do you get unstuck?! The most important factor is the relationship with your therapist. My main focus is teaming up with you - not telling you what to do - to figure out how to help you create new patterns. My practice mostly revolves around increasing your awareness of what’s happening in your mind and your body – and above all, respecting your experience. My approach focuses on mindfulness, DBT, and post-traumatic growth. This takes work, but with the help of someone you trust, you absolutely can change the structure of your brain! As much as I may be in the most privileged of demographics (see photo), I’ve taken a lifetime’s worth of feeling inferior and deployed it for good: Being able to empathize with you, the client. I've worked extensively with anger, grief, substance use, LGBTQ+-related issues, insomnia, racial identity, relationship issues, sports performance, etc. I have an easygoing way of communicating with clients. My communication style definitely doesn't have that solemn, overly serious tone that you might see depicted in movie therapists. Just to forewarn: My sessions can and will include some (very lame) jokes here and there, but that does not mean I don't take your struggle seriously.

Hello, I’m Dr. Cami, a psychologist providing telehealth services to adults in California. I am a native of the Central Valley in California and come from a diverse cultural community. I currently reside in the beautiful country of Norway and enjoy downhill skiing, hiking, gardening, traveling, and learning new languages. As a psychologist, I am passionate about helping individuals develop helpful strategies to effectively navigate their path and the roadblocks that may arise on their journey in life. Upon feeling effective, it is a beautiful experience to walk with the individual as they re-story past hurts, emotions, and experiences into a story of empowerment and growth. As a therapist, this is the gift of therapy: a transactional experience of growth in the therapeutic relationship in which both I, and the client walk along the path of reclaiming self-compassion and identity. In my work, I use warmth, humor, and a nonjudgmental approach to develop a strong alliance with my clients, grounded in authenticity and acceptance. I view therapy as a collaborative experience in which I encourage clients to approach challenges with curiosity and self-compassion. My clients have described me as open to learning and understanding their cultural values and beliefs, warm, easy to talk to, empathic and humorous in session. If I were to use one sentence, to sum up my view of a healthy therapeutic treatment experience, it would be: Therapy, in its purity, is a place where an individual is validated, supported, and empowered to thrive on their path in life.

All things are interconnected. To feel better, you have to act better. To feel better, you have to think better. To think better, you have to feel better. To act better, you have to think better. To think, feel, and act better, you have to care for your physical health. To care for your physical health, you have to think, feel, and act better. Each has a corresponding effect on the other. However, the aspect of ourselves that we have the most direct control of is what we do, our acting. While we can influence other people, we cannot control other people. A great source of conflict and unhappiness results from our efforts to control others. If you want better relationships, the only thing we can control is what we do, how we choose to relate. We are responsible for what we do. Others are responsible for what they do. Accepting this fundamental reality and thinking, feeling, and acting in accordance with it is how we increase our experience of power, freedom, belonging, meaning and, very importantly, fun. My professional experience includes over 30 years of post-Master’s clinical work, including leadership experience in foster care, chemical abuse and addiction, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and crisis intervention, de-escalation, and hospitalization. I am experienced in working with ages three through the elderly. I have worked extensively with youth and families, diverse populations and life issues, providing services in various settings, including family homes, schools, juvenile detention facilities, jails, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric facilities.

Most people don’t need more advice. They need space to slow down enough to hear what’s actually happening inside them. My work is less about fixing and more about listening; not just to the words, but to what’s underneath them. The pace of our conversations will be different from the rest of your life: slower, steadier, more honest. My goal is to help you come into contact with yourself again, to notice what’s true and what you really want.

Hi There. My name is Mimi. I am a licensed Psychotherapist. I am here to help you grow, identify and resolve emotional and psychological obstacles that are preventing you from achieving the quality of life you deserve and desire. My integrative approach to therapy combines a variety of techniques to accommodate different individual needs to assist you in making choices that will help you achieve a fuller and happier life in a non judgmental, compassionate, warm, and safe environment where you will be heard and accepted. You may feel lost, empty, anxious, alone, with no place to turn to, but as we work together, I will lead you to explore those wounds and emotions that are creating the pain you feel. Taking the first step to self understanding can be intimidating and it takes courage to embark on a journey for change where you will be in control of your life and to all issues overwhelming you with anxious feelings and overwhelming thoughts. Sometimes we have to face our losses to be able to move forward, sometimes we have to confront our negative thoughts to clear our mind and focus on what is in front of us now. Greetings, Life can be confusing, relationships can be stressful, and the present can make you feel anxious or depressed. Sometimes a painful past can surface into the moment, especially when situations are difficult or when you are experiencing major change. Please allow me to assist you finding relief and clarity. I will meet you where you are at and welcome you. I address healing on multiple levels of the body-mind connection with a focus on the notion that caring about something or someone along with experiencing meaning can counterbalance the effects of hurt, a disturbing past, or a present stressful situation or transition. I have more than 20 years of experience helping clients navigate major change and transition, gain closure, and create new beginnings. I apply interventions from a mind-body-being perspective and assess current life stressors to distinguish between situational mood and thought disturbances from those enduring and a consequence of previous hurt or trauma.

Do you suffer from constant anxiety and or panic attacks? Do you have a history of loss, difficult relationships and other traumatic experiences that hurt when you think about them today? Well, you are not alone. Seeking counseling can be an anxious time for many people, yet I believe it can be the start of a positive and productive experience. I believe joining with my clients to create a therapy experience tailored to their individual needs is important. The therapy sessions will be a safe place to gain new skills to help you live a more prosperous and fulfilling life. I offer online therapy which provides convenience, privacy and affordability all in one place. There are so many different types of situations or experiences that can create a need for therapy. I have experience successfully helping people feel less depressed or anxious, build their parenting skills with strong-willed children, get through difficult life changes, improve their relationship with their partner or friends, and create a less stressful environment for themselves. I am trained in a few research-based treatments for trauma and parenting. I am a Faith Based Christian Therapist. I received my Bachelor's in Social Work from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and my Master's in Social Work from Stanislaus State in Turlock, California where I served 5 years as a Professor in the MSW Department teaching on The Effects of Childhood Trauma.

Hello and welcome! It brings me so much joy that you are taking this first big step of showing up for yourself. The task of finding a clinician can be overwhelming in itself, on top of stress or other issues you may already be experiencing. Take a second and give yourself a little pat on the back, you're doing it! My Name is Raven and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family therapist. I have been practicing for 10 years. My practice has been centered around supporting people of all ages experiencing anxiety and depression, particular in connection to life transitions, family of origin issues, relationships struggles, social anxiety, self-esteem, and boundary setting. I strongly believe in creating a welcoming, and non-judgmental space where all of you can be accepted and explored. I am not the expert of your life you are, you have more lived experience being you than I EVER will. I would like to be a collaborative partner and create a safe space where we are able to bring awareness to how certain experiences, behavior patterns or relationships are possibly impacting your wellbeing and preventing you from being the version of yourself that brings you the most joy and fulfillment.

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I received my masters from UC Berkeley and have been practicing for a few years now. I work with individuals going through life transitions and unexpected directions in life. I have experience in motivational interviewing and trauma focused practice. I offer sessions every other week, and my practice includes providing clients with written worksheets for outside of sessions. I also like to work with clients to identify natural supports outside of therapy. If you are seeking someone to sign off on FMLA, EDD, SSI, Emotional Support Animal, time off work, ETC., I will refer you to your medical doctor and/or provider who you meet with in person.
