Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), licensed in California, Arizona, and New Mexico. I have a Master of Arts in psychology and have been practicing for 14 years. I help adults of all ages, who are struggling with symptoms relative to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other issues, to reduce their symptoms on their path towards mental wellness and the best version of themselves.
In our first session and after introductions, clients will learn about the therapeutic process, given disclosures, and we will begin to explore the problem or the reason for coming to therapy. The client’s goals will be explored and we will begin formulating a treatment plan.
I utilize an empathic and non-judgmental approach, and help create a safe space where the client can feel comfortable to discuss the challenges in their life. I am able to give the client insight of the problem and help them reflect on ways to manage and overcome what brought them to therapy in the first place.
I enjoy working with adults, who are facing challenges that produce symptoms, inhibiting them from fully seeing their strengths and ability to solve the problem. People often feel stuck in the problem and need help exploring, finding, and implementing solutions, en-route to mental wellness and a meaningful existence.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help patients learn how cognition, emotions, and behaviors interact. Using the concept of the Cognitive Triad, I help patients practice insight and self-awareness, and use cognition to regulate emotions and influence behaviors to reduce symptoms and improve mental wellness. I teach patients the concept of reframing negative thinking to positive thoughts and the practice of positive behaviors to balance the triad of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Allow the patient to briefly describe the problem, and severity of the problem using a scaling system. Continuously focus and refocus the patient on solutions based on previous successes and what the solution might look like in the future, using the Miracle Question. Help the patient reflect on exceptions or times when the problem is not present, continuously moving the patient away from the problem and towards the solution, using scaling questions to measure and reflect their progress.
