(she/her)
My approach is client-centered and collaborative, rooted in the belief that healing begins by recognizing and building on each person’s unique strengths. Through hope-inducing relationships, goal-oriented work, and compassionate support, I help individuals move beyond trauma and toward empowered, meaningful change. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specialize in trauma-informed care, drawing from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), somatic techniques, and strength-based approaches to support lasting healing and growth. I am EMDRIA-trained and currently working toward full EMDR certification. I also hold certificates in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and Somatic EMDR Therapy, which allow me to help clients reconnect with their bodies, identify stored trauma, and restore a sense of presence and safety.
The first session I will get to know you, ask you questions about yourself that you are willing to share and you can ask me any questions.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, in pain, out of control, invisible, guilty, ashamed, not enough, or afraid? You’re not alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling triggered by someone or work due to not being able to keep up. Others feel numb or in shock due to a loss, breakup, or death. Whatever your pain points may be, I’m here to validate and understand what you’re going through.
Are you feeling stuck, tired, fatigued and don't know what to do or where to start? Maybe you are losing your patience and have not yet figured out why you are so upset or easily irritated. Perhaps you are also an empath and notice an increase in your senses or are hyperaware.
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a mental health treatment technique. This method involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories. EMDR's goal is to help you heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. EMDR will guide you to shift your thoughts to more pleasant ones. EMDR is not a form of hypnosis. Hypnosis is a state of mind where a person is in a heightened state of suggestibility. EMDR does not use hypnosis to treat PTSD. EMDR uses eye movements to help people process and heal from trauma.
Strengths-based (or asset-based) approaches focus on individuals' strengths (including personal strengths and social and community networks) and not on their deficits. Strengths-based practice is holistic and multidisciplinary and works with the individual to promote their wellbeing. What are six key principles of a strength based approach? Goal Setting. Strengths Assessment. Environmental Resources. Alternative methods come first for different situations. Hope inducing relationships. Autonomy to make meaningful choices.
I utilized body awareness tools to help with identifying old traumas that have been stored in the body that are still causing symptoms or probably turned into pain. Everyone is different but it is very effective at helping with improved presence and mindfulness.
