In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a courageous step toward self-discovery, and my priority is to ensure you feel safe, heard, and respected from the moment we begin. This initial meeting is primarily a collaborative conversation where we start to get to know each other. You can expect a warm, non-judgmental space where you are invited to share what has prompted you to seek support now. We'll discuss your current challenges, hopes for therapy, and relevant personal history, but only to the extent you feel comfortable. This is not a session where you will be pushed to delve into deeply painful material immediately. will likely ask questions to understand your story, your strengths, and the patterns you feel are limiting you. We will also begin to outline what you truly want from our work together—identifying not just what you want to move away from, but what you want to move toward. Most importantly, this session is for you to determine if I feel like the right guide for your journey. You can ask me anything about my approach, how I work, or what our collaboration might look like. By the end of our time, my goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of direction, a feeling of being understood, and the confidence to decide on your next step.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe true healing comes from integrating all parts of ourselves—the conscious and the unconscious. This is why I combine evidence-based, solution-oriented therapies like CBT with more profound, transformative modalities.

EMDR

In therapy, EMDR is best known for effectively treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). However, its use is expanding to include treatment for other conditions, such as anxiety, depression, phobias, and grief, by reducing the negative emotional charge associated with past painful life experiences.

Hypnotherapy

In therapy, hypnotherapy is often used as a complementary treatment to help with a variety of issues, including anxiety, phobias, stress, and pain management. It can also be very helpful for breaking unwanted habits like overeating, as it directly targets and modifies deeply ingrained unconscious patterns.

Somatic

Somatic therapy focuses on the mind-body connection, believing that trauma and stress are held as physical tension in the body. It uses techniques like grounding and body awareness to safely release this trapped energy and regulate the nervous system, effectively treating PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain.

Psychoanalytic
