Hi there, I'm Jaenai. You made the right decision to seek out someone to talk to. We all deserve to have someone neutral to listen to our thoughts and feelings without judgement and to accept us for who we are. Are you struggling with figuring out what is happening with your emotions, behaviors, relationships, school/work, and/or health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself and others? I help with managing trauma, depression, and anxiety. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self, client-centered approach, addressing the needs of your mind and body. I also integrate mindfulness to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself and others. In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. This first session is considered the “intake” session for psychotherapy treatment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past sixteen years. It’s helped my clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and change their desired behaviors. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a life you are in charge of.
Trauma-Focused CBT
We’ll use Trauma-focused CBT to recognize your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors after a traumatic experience. We’ll then use the components from the TF-CBT model to help you manage trauma related triggers for you to live a life after trauma.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
When appropriate, we will use Solution Focused brief treatment to construct solutions and formulate, motivate, achieve, and sustain desired behavioral change.

It was a great start. There are a ton of complicated cultural and historical layers that I have thankfully worked through, which are significant factors regarding my life's outlook. I never imagined having to recalibrate my life before my wife's passing and I am unsure what's normal or even how I want to move forward.
