As a therapist, I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns with honesty and curiosity. I work with individuals navigating challenges such as self-esteem, stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support practical skill-building, emotional regulation, and improved communication. I also incorporate elements of Jungian psychology to help clients develop deeper insight into themselves, their relational patterns, and the meaning behind their experiences. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, self-aware, and empowered, while supporting lasting change, healing, and a greater sense of clarity and inner balance.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a warm and supportive space where we take time to get to know each other and begin clarifying what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, relevant past experiences, and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your needs, patterns, and strengths, and we will discuss how my therapeutic approach may support your goals. We will also review what therapy with me typically looks like and how we can work collaboratively moving forward. By the end of the session, many clients leave with a clearer sense of direction, a better understanding of the therapeutic process, and a sense of relief or hope as we begin this work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a nonjudgmental, supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I approach therapy with empathy, curiosity, and respect for each client’s lived experience. I strongly value collaboration and work closely with clients to develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans that align with their goals, values, and readiness for change. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt interventions to meet clients where they are. My training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) allows me to offer a balanced approach that combines insight, practical skills, and emotional regulation strategies to support meaningful and sustainable progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with individuals who are looking to improve their sense of self, navigate life transitions, and better manage stressors such as anxiety, depression, anger, and the effects of trauma. Many of the clients I work with are seeking greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and more effective ways of coping with daily and relational challenges. My approach is especially helpful for individuals who want to strengthen communication, better understand their patterns, and build healthier, more intentional ways of relating to themselves and others. I value collaboration and work at a pace that supports both insight and practical change. I strive to provide an affirming, respectful, and culturally responsive therapeutic space.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my work using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients become more aware of the thoughts they are engaging with and how those thoughts influence their emotions and behaviors. Together, we examine whether these thoughts are accurate, balanced, and helpful within the context of their current circumstances. Rather than simply “positive thinking,” CBT focuses on identifying unhelpful or rigid thought patterns and learning how to challenge, reframe, or replace them with more realistic and supportive perspectives. This process helps reduce emotional distress and removes mental barriers that often keep people feeling stuck. Through CBT, clients learn practical skills they can use both in and outside of sessions to navigate difficult situations with greater clarity, flexibility, and confidence.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my work using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients become more aware of the emotions they are experiencing and how those emotions influence their reactions and choices. Together, we focus on identifying, naming, and validating emotional experiences rather than avoiding or suppressing them. DBT emphasizes learning practical skills to tolerate distress, regulate emotions, and respond more effectively during emotionally intense moments. By building these skills, clients are better able to stay present with what they are going through, reduce impulsive or avoidant behaviors, and feel more empowered in how they navigate challenges. This approach supports greater emotional balance, self-compassion, and the ability to respond intentionally rather than feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

Attachment-based

In my work using an attachment-based approach, I help clients become more aware of their attachment style and how it shows up in their relationships. Together, we explore how early experiences, relational patterns, and attachment-related fears or insecurities influence current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. With increased insight and awareness, we work toward identifying needs, communicating them more clearly, and responding to relational stress in healthier ways. This approach supports building more secure connections while reducing patterns driven by fear, avoidance, or insecurity that can strain relationships. Attachment-based work helps clients develop greater emotional safety, self-understanding, and more balanced, fulfilling relationships.

Jungian

In my Jungian-oriented work, I help clients develop greater awareness of unconscious patterns that influence their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This includes exploring defense mechanisms we all use to protect ourselves from difficult feelings or aspects of our current reality. Together, we also examine the parts of the self that may have been suppressed or disowned due to past experiences, relationships, or expectations. By bringing these hidden aspects into awareness and working with them intentionally, clients can develop a more integrated sense of self. This process supports individuation, deeper self-understanding, and a more authentic way of relating to oneself and others.

George gave me a great introductory session. He listened when I wanted to speak, he prompted me down different conversation paths and made me feel engaged, and he even told me a bit about himself to relate better. I am more than pleased with the quality of care

I really feel he gets me. He makes me feel comfortable so I’m able to be very open with him. He tells me when I’m wrong which is what I was looking for. He helps me understand my feelings.
