Hola! I'm Elliana. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters in Social Work from California State University Dominguez Hills. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and have been providing clinical services in the community to individuals of all ages for the past 12+ years. I hope to be of service and provide the support you need to meet your goals.
In the first session, we will not only focus on your reasons for seeking therapy, but it will be the start of a therapeutic relationship. It is important that you feel validated, heard, and understood by your therapist. Therapy should not be a one-size-fits-all practice, so you and I will also create a treatment plan for your particular needs and goals.
My greatest strength would be my ability to connect with others. I'm genuine, patient, and I value authenticity. I am consistent with my patients, and I'm able to provide a safe space for my patients to express themselves accordingly, and be vulnerable.
I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and seniors who are open to therapy and ready for change. I work with individuals who are experiencing life transitions, have a history of untreated trauma, need additional support with managing anxiety, depression, grief, and burnout, and need assistance with managing life stressors.
I utilize CBT as a way to help clients recognize negative thought and behavioral patterns. Through CBT, clients will learn how to replace negative thoughts with more positive and realistic perspectives. This will help clients better manage stressful situations, and ultimately feel better about themselves and the world around them.
An eclectic approach with clients allows for me to use a variety of techniques and modalities to better suit each client's individual needs. In doing so, the client's treatment is tailored to their unique background and goals.
