Hola! I'm Elliana. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters in Social Work from California State University Dominguez Hills. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and have been providing clinical services in the community to individuals of all ages for the past 13+ years. I hope to be of service and provide the support you need to meet your goals.
In the first session, we will not only focus on your reasons for seeking therapy, but it will be the start of a therapeutic relationship. It is important that you feel validated, heard, and understood by your therapist. Therapy should not be a one-size-fits-all practice, so you and I will also create a treatment plan for your particular needs and goals.
My greatest strength is my ability to connect with others. I'm genuine, patient, and I value authenticity. I am consistent with my patients, and I am able to provide a safe space for my patients to express themselves and be vulnerable.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are motivated, have an open mindset, are accountable and willing to handle hard truths, and understand that change is a gradual process. I provide individual therapy to individuals who are experiencing life transitions, have a history of untreated trauma, need additional support with managing anxiety, depression, grief, and burnout, and need assistance with managing life stressors.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured form of therapy that I use with clients to help reprocess memories and reduce emotional distress associated with those memories. This is an effective way to process trauma, and shift negative beliefs to positive ones.
I utilize CBT as a way to help clients recognize negative thought and behavioral patterns. Through CBT, clients will learn how to replace negative thoughts with more positive and realistic perspectives. This will help clients better manage stressful situations, and ultimately feel better about themselves and the world around them.

We just started, but so far, Elliana is great. We agreed that being genuine and authentic in our interaction was important to both of us, and that seems to hold up in our interactions so far. She is warm and funny and easy to talk with.
