Hello and Welcome to Grow Therapy, my name is Sabrina Thurman. Do you ever find yourself struggling in relationships, at work, with family, peers or with your health and wellbeing? You are not alone, and change is possible. I have helped clients' just like you to make sustainable and permanent life changes, by increasing my client's ability to manage and cope with stress. I use a holistic approach to address the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. I am excited to begin our journey together. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. My job is to provide a space for you to process your feelings while assisting you to feel safe within our teletherapy environment. You are the expert on your life, your personal goals have value and will drive our treatment plan. My ideal patient is focused on personal growth and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Welcome and thank you for being brave enough to ask for help, you are on your way to achieving your own growth and healing. I am honored and grateful to walk alongside you during your journey. I believe, at one point or another, everyone needs some type of assistance to navigate challenges. I aspire to work collaboratively with you to reach your goals and live your dream life. During first session we will see if we have a good connection and would work well with each other. I will get to know you by asking questions and staying curious, my goal is to figure out which areas of your life you are looking to make improvement. By focus on those areas in which you have identified needs we will make the greatest improvements (your opinions, goals and input drive our work together). I will meet you where you are at. Together we will develop a plan to overcome obstacles. I am focused on your growth and healing.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My goal is to always use the theoretical approach that best meets the needs of my specific client. Some of the approaches used within my practice are cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, problem-solving therapy, and client-centered therapy. I specialize in the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, connecting my client’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to empower my clients to live successful and full lives.
