Few, if any, of us grow up in an environment that perfectly fits our needs. As we grow, we adapt to our surroundings in ways that may run counter to our vitality, health, and happiness. By exploring and understanding the underlying emotional and psychological patterns that shape our lives, we are able to develop choice in whether to engage in patterns and habits that no longer serve us. As a psychotherapist, I provide a curious, and compassionate presence, lending my heart and mind to this process of self-exploration and self-understanding.
Hi! My name is Alex and I'm excited about the potential of working with you in developing a sense of integration and resilience in your life. Are you feeling stuck? Rooted in a compassionate curiosity, our work would explore these themes through inquiry into the dynamic between your conscious, unconscious, somatic, and relational self. Using a holistic lens we can unpack the how's and why's of your patterns; gaining insight into your emotions and experiences, and work towards greater self-awareness and well-being.
From a somatic, psychodynamic approach we will focus on the connection between the body and the mind, and how emotions and past experiences can be stored in the body and affect an your mental and physical well-being. This may also include exploring early childhood experiences, family dynamics, and past traumas, as well as working through issues related to relationships, self-esteem, and personal growth.

I offer virtual therapy for adults and older teens who want support navigating these moments and finding steadier ground.
With me you’ll find a blend of:
Warmth & Humility. A safe space to be yourself, slow down, and understand what’s happening
Insight & Irreverence. We’ll look at the hard stuff, and probably laugh a little, too.
Steady Shifts. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
Together, we’ll tackle your questions, quiet your worries, get comfortable with your feelings, and help you feel at home with yourself.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from an array of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, and Child Parent Psychotherapy.
In my practice, I use a strengths-based, individualized approach to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients that is warm, collaborative, and empathic. I strive to empower individuals to make sound choices in order to help them live balanced, connected, and meaningful lives.
Warm Welcome - I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been working with California based clients for over 9 years. I have experience working in various treatment settings including community mental health centers, addiction treatment centers, and psychiatric hospitals. I also oversaw a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program, specific for college students, within the hospital setting. Outside of therapy, my professional background includes working in university settings both in administration and as an educator. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with issues related to, but not limited to, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, relational issues, addiction, and burnout.
Hi, I'm Lindsay...I'm a therapist who believes in blending practical tools and behaviors for change here and now with the deeper exploration necessary to make that change sustainable. I believe that we all have the natural capacity to heal given the right conditions and relationships. I believe in helping you reconnect to your intuition and your own inner healing energy.
I found myself becoming a psychotherapist through nudges from friends and family pointing me toward a field they believed suited me well. I'm so grateful I listened and changed careers from education to psychology; 10 years later, I'm writing this with great satisfaction about my profession. The work of joining a person in articulating, understanding, and organizing their experience is a wonderful thing. This work makes sense to me; I both enjoy serving others and the psychic rewards of their growth and success. I've worked in various settings, including CBT, college counseling, and psychodynamic clinics, as well as addiction medicine, behavioral health primary care, and medical integration with Kaiser Permanente. All of these contexts have combined to bring my clinical style together in an integrative-relational approach to treatment.
