LMFT, 8 years of experience
Hi, I am Trisha Leamon, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I have had an interest in human behavior for as long as I can remember. I enjoy helping my clients source their strengths and achieving effective ways to navigate life’s challenges. My professional experience has given me the opportunity to work with clients who are facing substance abuse, depression, anxiety, divorce, codependence, and grief. I especially enjoy working with clients who are navigating difficult transitions such as divorce, relationships, work, adding to their family, retirement, and the many other journeys of life. My personal experience of my sons passing in 2008 was a large part of my desire to work in the counseling field. Through my own journey, I recognized how difficult past experiences can often play large roles in how we navigate life. My goal with therapy is to offer my clients a caring, attuned therapist as we find new ways to solve problems, heal old wounds, and strengthen the way you live your life. I embrace client focused/strength based theories, CBT, and love the works of Brene Brown and Internal Family Systems.
Please complete the Intake form for our first session. This helps in knowing what you are hoping from therapy. During the Intake, it will be informal, let's just get to know each other and figure out the best way to support you!
Our sessions will combine talk processing with integration of family systems, grounding techniques, and CBT approaches. I believe in a client focused approach and aim to provide a supportive and safe space.
I have a passion for supporting those who are experiencing grief, loss, or difficult life transitions.
I enjoy working with clients who are seeking support for life stressors (relationship, work, health, grief)

Trisha is authentic and listens to what I share with her. She updates me every meeting on what Ive overcome since our last meeting, and she gives great advice.

She truly was so so patient with me considering I had to have my son in the room with me during our session. She took the time to really try and ask all sorts of questions to get a broad and quick understanding of who I am and my current situation. She found ways to connect with me and lighten the mood. So so glad I chose her as my first experience with therapy!

She was a great first session. Having not seen a therapist for a long time, it was great to be back in a session.
