I am a Licensed Clinician in California, with over three decades of clinical experience. I specialize in culturally competent, Christian-integrated, strength-based therapy. My approach combines Biblical principles, Christian values, wisdom, and clinical expertise to support those seeking healing through a holistic and compassionate framework.

I offer culturally competent therapeutic interventions, respecting all cultures and emphasizing the client's strengths as the foundation for overcoming challenges.

First session

In sessions with me, clients will be greeted with compassion, commitment to seeking their goals and best interest. They can expect to gain a profound sense of empowerment, realizing their innate ability to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. You will develop practical strategies and a deeper understanding of your strengths, leaving each session better equipped to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.

Strengths

With over three decades of experience in the Social Work and Clinical Field I have a large tool box of skills and interventions to incorporate into my practice. I seek to assist clients to achieve their goals in all areas of their lives. I provide referrals to other specialties as needed (i.e. medical, substance abuse, legal services, etc.). I provide family therapy, family mediation, couples and individual counseling, co-parenting counseling, cultural diversity and competency intervention and training as needed. I have completed several workshops and trainings to address abuse, neglect, grief and loss, child custody, and co-parenting. I desire to assist everyone to achieve their identified goals and restore peace, happiness, joy.

The clients that are seeking change, desire treatment, spiritual growth, healing, and commitment to achieve their goals are the clients that I enjoy serving. I understand that coming to therapy is challenging however, I desire to assist you with developing new insight into your situation to bring about power, strength, and resolution over your circumstances.

Treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I consider myself a Christian Therapist which means I incorporate Biblical principles, Christian Values, wisdom and teaching along with the Clinical aspect to assist those that desire it in their healing process.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I provide culturally competent therapy with respect to all cultures. I provide Client Centered therapy and incorporate client's cultural values, identity, and norms into therapy providing understanding of their roles and identity in their culture and family. I also assist those who have experienced oppression and racial trauma with healing and transitioning to place of empowerment, pride, and growth and appreciation for their culture and others.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I assist clients with acknowledging their relationship with their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Helping them understand their feelings and the root of them. I work with clients on reframing their values and adjusting their behaviors to improve their outcome and situation.

Strength-Based

I utilize this approach to assist clients who are experiencing crisis to come to solution for their problems using their own inherent strengths and skills. I believe that each person has the power within them to make positive changes in their lives sometimes they require assistance with helping them identify their strengths and power within.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In crisis situations people need assistance with immediate intervention and solutions to their problems to help them return to healthier state of functioning. I provide immediate crisis intervention to assist clients with helping them develop solutions to their problems, identifying their support systems and other interventions needed to assist them with achieving overall well-being for longevity.

I luve her dedication to the patient and meeting the patient where I am. I also appreciate someone who actively listens without an agenda or a one size fits all therapy plan. I think this is going to be a good relationship

She was patient but kept the flow going to complete the intake session. She gathered information in a structured way, however, allowed space for me to elaborate when I needed to, to cry, to vent etc and gave me permission to pass on any question I didn’t have the capacity for. It felt relieving to be heard and not judged while still being able to participate in the overall flow of the session in terms of my ability emotionally.
