Other specialties
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and commitment therapy is grounded in radical acceptance and in finding the courage to commit to living your best life, no matter what.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is grounded in guiding people into being more aware of how their thoughts, behaviors, and actions are connected, and is often used to assist people in changing unhealthy and unwanted behaviors.
Couples Counseling
I utilize many different therapy modalities in couples counseling. First, I help the couple identify the problem, then I assign them homework to strengthen their relationship.
EMDR
Short- term 12 sessions, limited talking. The client informs me of what traumatic experience they have endured, and how that is affecting their lives/behavior in the present. We then work through bilateral stimulation/tapping to allow the brain to heal itself.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In this therapy modality, I assist people in finding ways to slow down, use different breathing techniques, discuss triggers, and view things from a here-and-now perspective.
