About me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps adults ages 18 to 65+ navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, and emotional overwhelm. I provide a warm, supportive, culturally sensitive space where you can feel understood and empowered. My goal is to help you build insight, strengthen coping skills, heal past wounds, and create a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and exploring what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, your history, and what you hope to get out of treatment. You can share at your own pace there’s no pressure. Together, we’ll start building a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and tailored to your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space and to truly understand what clients are experiencing beneath the surface. I combine evidence-based approaches with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and practical skills that clients can use right away. I excel at helping clients feel safe, validated, and empowered while guiding them toward clarity, healing, and meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who are ready to understand themselves more deeply and make meaningful changes in their lives. I work best with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, or low self-esteem. I also support clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and want to build healthier coping skills, stronger boundaries, and more emotional balance.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am trained in CBT and use it to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In practice, I use cognitive restructuring, coping-skills training, and behavioral strategies to reduce anxiety and depression. CBT provides a clear, goal-focused structure that helps clients make meaningful changes.

Compassion Focused

I use Compassion-Focused Therapy to help clients reduce shame, self-criticism, and anxiety by developing a kinder and more supportive inner voice. My experience includes integrating CFT practices such as soothing-rhythm breathing, compassionate imagery, and exploring the “inner critic” with clients who struggle with trauma, anxiety, and low self-worth. In my practice, I help clients build emotional safety, strengthen self-compassion, and develop coping skills that support healing and resilience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and staying grounded during stress. My experience includes integrating core DBT skills—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness into weekly sessions. I teach clients how to use these tools in real-life situations, and we practice skills together so they feel confident applying them between sessions. DBT helps clients feel more in control, reduce impulsive reactions, and create healthier patterns in their daily lives.

Faith based therapy

I offer faith-based therapy for clients who want to integrate their spiritual beliefs into the healing process. My experience includes helping clients draw on their faith, values, and traditions as sources of strength, resilience, and meaning. In practice, I combine evidence-based therapeutic approaches with faith-aligned discussions, prayer (if requested), and exploration of spiritual coping. I always follow the client’s lead, honoring their beliefs and comfort level to support emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am trained in Trauma-Focused CBT and use it to help clients safely process traumatic experiences while building coping skills that reduce anxiety, fear, and emotional distress. In my practice, I guide clients through grounding techniques, cognitive restructuring, and gradual trauma processing at a pace that feels safe and supported. TF-CBT helps clients understand how trauma affects thoughts and emotions, and together we work toward healing, resilience, and a stronger sense of control in daily life.
