About me

Hola and welcome! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I earned my master’s degree from the University of Phoenix and have been supporting clients for over seven years. I specialize in helping individuals especially those from Latino and first-generation backgrounds navigate the weight of worry, sadness, and trauma. My approach is culturally sensitive, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing should honor your lived experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will start with a brief introduction, and then dive into specific struggles you have been facing. This will help me create a road map for us to work though in the following sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Through my work with clients facing challenges related to family, work, school, and cultural identity, I’ve found that one of the most powerful shifts happens when individuals begin to recognize their own strengths even in the midst of struggle. I help clients reconnect with their resilience so they can approach future situations with greater confidence, clarity, and a sense of empowerment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating life’s challenges and transitions. When stressors go unmanaged, they can create a ripple effect that impacts our ability to cope with daily life. I provide a supportive space to explore these experiences and work toward healing. My clinical experience includes treating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship and communication difficulties. I am especially passionate about working with BIPOC clients, men’s mental health, and individuals seeking culturally responsive care.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe the basis for understanding ourselves is driven by the here and now. In addition, because we are often driven by our thoughts, feelings, and actions we can fool ourselves when one of the three is a miss.

Meeting with Veronica for the first time I felt understood with the issues I am facing and that she was able to come up with an idea for a plan. Veronica was able to relate to some of the things I was saying or experienced and that helped ease any anxiety of a meeting with a therapist for the first time and having to explain my life story.

I just had my first session with Veronica through Grow Therapy, and I’m genuinely so happy I found her. She’s incredibly kind and creates such a welcoming, open space it honestly felt like being at home. For the first time in a long time, I felt comfortable enough to talk about my feelings. Looking forward to continuing this journey with her.
