Sometimes, the most profound connections are formed when someone truly listens.I’m Cintia, here not just to hear, but to deeply understand you. In a world where trauma and anxiety often drown out our inner voices, I know that beneath the spoken words, lies a heart’s true narrative. What a degree in Clinical Psychology and a seven-year journey as a therapist has allowed me to is delve deep into the realms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. While these are my primary focuses, I also bring profound insights into PTSD, intricate family dynamics, relationship challenges, and concerns faced by the LGBTQ community.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the initial session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we establish a foundation of trust and understanding. We'll begin by discussing their goals, concerns, and past experiences, particularly in relation to attachment and emotions. This session serves as a platform for me to tailor a personalized therapeutic approach that aligns with their needs and preferences. Together, we'll outline a roadmap for our work ahead, ensuring that clients feel heard and actively engaged in their healing journey from the very start.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my niche is centered around empowering the LGBTQ community, understanding intricate family dynamics, and navigating significant life transitions and relationships. I specialize in addressing the often interwoven challenges of depression and anxiety that accompany these areas of focus. My unique approach incorporates somatic therapy to provide holistic support for mood disorders, fostering emotional well-being and resilience in individuals and families alike. Together, we can embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery through these life-changing experiences.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

In my therapeutic practice, I integrate attachment-based theory with a strong focus on emotions to address the interconnected challenges of depression, trauma, PTSD, and anxiety. I begin by assessing the client's attachment history and emotional struggles, creating a safe space for them to explore and regulate their emotions. By understanding how attachment patterns influence their emotional responses, we work to reframe negative beliefs and narratives related to attachment. Through narrative processing and emotion-focused techniques, we delve into the depths of emotional experiences, particularly in cases of trauma. Our aim is to repair attachment wounds, fostering secure attachments within and beyond the therapeutic relationship. Together, we develop coping strategies to manage depressive symptoms, trauma triggers, and anxiety, ultimately empowering clients to integrate newfound emotional awareness into their daily lives and promote healing.
