I have experience working with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, ADHD, trauma, multiple medical issues, chronic pain, and those that are struggling with everyday living, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I work with individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in Trauma, from bullying to combat PTSD, anxiety and depression. Issues that manifest when we don't process the emotional and physical pain we experience. I also work with couples who have experienced infidelity, sexual issues, infertility, or those that are going through divorce or loss of their relationship.
I come from a holistic patient-centered approach, we work together on a multidimensional plan, using various therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, EFT-Tapping and guided trauma work in books like " Safely Embodied", " Your a Bad Ass, and Codependency No More. I use many different techniques. I incorporate multiple approaches holistic medical and nutritional treatments. I stress to use each session as a springboard to process the new skills we discuss.

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with over 14 years of experience working as a clinician, therapist , and crisis interventionist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use problems, psychosis, and ADHD. I also helped people who have experienced trauma and/or emotional abuse.
I would like to clarify my expertise does not include eating disorders, or pornography addiction, although I do understand some of the symptoms and causes.
My therapy style is genuine and solution focused.. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach is dialectical behavioral based with strengths perspective and motivational interviewing. Any treatment plan to meet your needs will be collaborative, timely, and with measurable goals. Usually following the "S.M.A.R.T." goal format. Specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely.
I have worked extensively in crisis intervention in the agency and on the streets, in hospitals, and in mental health courts and case management agencies, and have managed in this capacity. I also have many years experience related to substance use disorders and have worked as a therapist utilizing primarily Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as my main approach as well as utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy . These tools can be modified in a number of ways to help clients achieve their goals .

I'm a LCSW who believes in meeting clients where they are, establishing a therapeutic alliance and working as a guide to help them modify unhealthy behaviors that interfere with their life goals. This includes processing trauma, teaching coping skills and problem solving. My experience includes working with children at risk of being removed from their home, integrated care in a medical setting, crisis care, residential care and intensive outpatient. Most recently, seeing clients through telehealth who suffer from ADHD, anger problems, mood disorders, trauma or wish to address problems in living such as chronic pain, relationship issues, transitions (job change or loss, change in environment etc).

I work in person in Chattanooga Monday's and Wednesdays, and virtual Tuesday Thursday and Friday. My hours are 9am to 630pm M-F. I see people in person Mon, Tues. Weds. only. I can see people in Florida, South Carolina and Idaho via telehealth. I accept most commercial insurances and TN Medicare and TN Medicaid (not united health care community plan of tn yet)
