New to Grow
It takes courage to reach out for help. I am passionate about partnering and walking alongside others in some of their most difficult moments to help them reach a sense of hope and healing. I believe we are designed to heal. My greatest priority is creating an atmosphere of safety where my clients can feel seen, heard, and understood. There may have been places in your story where you learned tools to help you survive and those tools are no longer helpful but actually keeping you from living from a place of wholeness.
Our first session is a time to begin getting to know one another and to create a sense of safety and trust in the space. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together, while also exploring some of your background and current supports. We’ll go over informed consent, confidentiality, and any questions you might have about the therapeutic process. My goal in this session is for you to feel heard, comfortable, and empowered to move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we’ll begin identifying areas of focus and the approaches that best fit your unique needs.
My approach is trauma informed, holistic and relational. I am trained in EMDR using somatic, attachment based, experiential approaches that acknowledge the whole self in the process of healing. I enjoy incorporating spirituality and faith in the healing process for client's who are seeking this approach. My goldendoodle, Marigold joins me for some sessions to assist clients. We all need a safe and intentional space to make meaning of our stories. My hope is that you will connect more deeply with yourself and others as you move towards greater wholeness. I would love and be honored to join this part of your journey!
My ideal client is someone who desires healing and is ready to explore the connections between their mind, body, and spirit. They may be carrying the effects of trauma, anxiety, or relational wounds and are seeking a space where they can be seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Many of my clients are individuals who have tried to “think” their way through pain and are now ready to approach healing in a more embodied and compassionate way. They may be drawn to an approach that explores faith and meaning alongside nervous system regulation, attachment patterns, and somatic awareness. My ideal client values authenticity, curiosity, and connection, and is willing to engage in experiential work such as EMDR, grounding, and mindfulness practices. Whether they are navigating complex trauma, burnout, or a loss of connection to themselves, they are seeking to restore wholeness and reclaim a sense of peace.
EMDR is a treatment model that allows clients to process and heal past trauma. It is effective for PTSD, anxiety, grief as well as other mental health conditions. I use regulation skills based in EMDR with all of my clients regardless if our focus is trauma work due to it's benefits for the nervous system.
Somatic approaches to therapy allow the body to be part of the conversation. I am currently training in Somatic Experiencing.
ACT is what I use for my Eating Disorder clients as well as some other skill based approaches. This is important in helping clarify values and diffuse from thoughts that fuel the ED.
