"Hello, I'm Rebecca, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe that therapy should be a place where you can truly be yourself—a space where you can come as you are with no fear of judgment. My practice is built on the philosophy that genuine connection and compassionate support are the cornerstones of lasting change. I specialize in helping children and teens who are often overwhelmed by their feelings, leading to meltdowns, outbursts, high anxiety, or withdrawal. I also specialize in helping parents navigate relationships with their children and teens. If you're a parent feeling like you're "walking on eggshells" or struggling to manage the chaos, I am here to help. Many parents come to me feeling exhausted, unsure, and stretched thin by the demands of work, relationships, and their own mental health. Building a resilient child takes a team; you don’t have to do it alone.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

"Our first session will be about getting to know one another and establishing rapport. I want you to feel comfortable talking with me, and we'll take this session at your pace. We will determine your goals for therapy and learn how to meet those goals best, ensuring you leave with a clear sense of what the therapeutic journey will look like."

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I use evidence-based modalities to create a warm, trusting space where you and your child feel truly seen and heard. I provide tools to help young people build coping skills, strengthen their sense of self, and reconnect with the joy and confidence they deserve. I also work closely with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and support so your whole family feels more grounded and equipped to face challenges together. The goal isn't to stop feelings, but to build emotional resilience—the ability to identify, understand, and effectively manage intense emotions so your child feels more in control and less reactive. Supporting them through emotional or behavioral challenges can feel overwhelming. My goal is simple: to create a safe, collaborative space where your child can grow, heal, and thrive—and where you feel supported every step of the way. If you believe we may be a good fit, I invite you to reach out by phone or email to learn more or schedule an appointment. Being a kid is tough. Being a parent can be even tougher. You don’t have to navigate it on your own. Together, we'll explore your unique challenges to help you gain insight, build skills, and develop lasting resilience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You might be here because you, the parent, are dealing with burnout and persistent anxiety. You feel constantly drained by the challenges of family life, whether it’s setting boundaries or navigating daily conflicts. You know things need to change, but you’re exhausted and unsure how to break the cycle. This parental stress often aligns with a child or teen who is also struggling: If your child's feelings seem too intense, too frequent, or too fast—leading to meltdowns, outbursts, or total withdrawal—they aren't being "dramatic." They are struggling with emotional regulation, and it’s exhausting for the whole family. The goal isn't to stop feelings, but to build emotional resilience—the ability to identify, understand, and effectively manage intense emotions so your child feels more in control and less reactive. Supporting them through emotional or behavioral challenges can feel overwhelming.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that the client is at the heart of therapy, and because of this, I meet the client where they are and not where I expect them to be. My approach is to offer a welcoming environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. I strive to understand my client's experiences and hope to foster a trustful therapuetic experience for them.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

CPP is a dyad treatment with the parent/caregiver and the child. It is evidence-based therapy designed for young children (0-5 years old) and their caregivers who have experienced traumatic events or are struggling with mental health issues. This is a play-based therapy that uses play to help children express their feelings and process their experiences. You, the caregiver, and I will work closely together, where you will receive support and guidance.

Christian Counseling

Integrating faith-based methods as well as evidence-based methods such as CBT, EFT, and other counseling methods along side of each other

Eclectic

No two people are alike, and neither are their challenges or goals. Eclectic therapy recognizes this diversity by avoiding a "one-size-fits-all" model. Instead, it offers a compassionate and customized path, empowering clients to benefit from the insights and tools of multiple therapeutic traditions.
