(she/her)
I'm an LPC (TN), LMHC (FL) with over 20 years of experience in helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, phobia, life transitions, perinatal experiences, and performance-related pressure and stress. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful healing, emotional shifts, and lasting change can happen more gently, and often more quickly, than people expect. My intention is to help people move beyond symptom relief and toward greater clarity, connection, and a more fulfilling way of living.
Our first session is an opportunity for me to fully understand what's been going on, where you're feeling stuck, and in what you'd like to be different. We will identify current concerns and relevant history. My sessions are intentional and collaborative. Clients often describe me as warm and approachable, but I can also be direct when needed. I believe therapy should be insightful and practical but also focused on moving beyond understanding and into meaningful change. While some topics may be difficult, I believe therapy doesn't have to be heavy or overwhelming. I believe growth and healing can happen through connection, experience and yes, even humor.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in why some people gain insight and understanding yet continue to feel stuck. This led me to pursue additional training in approaches that help create change beyond insight alone. I found myself drawn to approaches that cause change at a deeper level, that move beyond insight, intellect and logic. I bean to merge myself in additional training in experiential and trauma informed approaches designed to access the parts of the mind that insight could not reach, designed to access patterns and beliefs not easily available through the conscious mind.
