I'm an LPC (TN), and LMHC (FL) with over 20 years of experience in helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias, life transitions, perinatal experiences, and performance-related pressure and stress (including athletes and high achievers). My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful healing, emotional shifts, and lasting change can happen more gently, and often more quickly, than people expect. My intention is to help people move beyond symptom relief and toward greater clarity, connection, and a more fulfilling way of living.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin to getting to know each other. Together we'll explore what's brining you to therapy, where you've been feeling stuck, and what you'd like to be different. We'll begin identifying goals and discussing what will be most useful moving forward. My sessions are intentional and collaborative. I believe therapy should be insightful, practical, and focused on moving beyond understanding and into meaningful change. While some topics may be difficult, I believe therapy doesn't have to be heavy or overwhelming. Growth and healing can happen through connection, experience and yes, even humor.
One question has shaped the way I practice: Why do some people gain insight into their struggles yet continue to feel stuck? Over time, I came to believe that much of what keeps us stuck often operates outside of our conscious awareness. That belief led me to pursue additional training in approaches that go beyond insight alone and focus on creating lasting change. My work integrates neuroscience, story telling, imagery, and solution focused strategies to assist clients in gaining relief and breaking through emotional patterns, performance blocks, and limiting beliefs in a relatively short period of time. My intention is to assist clients in moving beyond knowing why they have been struggling and toward feeling differently and living with greater freedom and connection.
My approach is often a good fit for Individuals who have felt stuck despite their best efforts. Individuals who are interested in change and open to exploring new ways of thinking, healing and moving forward. Many of my clients have spent a long time trying to understand why they feel the way they do but are looking to move beyond insight alone. They are motivated, curious, and open to an active therapeutic process that fosters change, clarity, and connection.
