Marsha Litton-Baker

LPC/MHSP, 20 years of experience

Warm
Authentic
Open-minded

In my career spanning over 20 years, 12 of those years have been as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider focusing on outpatient behavioral health. I like to inform clients, that like all humans, I am far from perfect even though I am on the other side of the desk with the answers and knowledge. This helps to build rapport and allows authentic and vulnerable conversations.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I will meet you where you are at, whether that is a first time client to therapy or a believer in the process of therapy and has been in therapy prior. We will discuss what brings you currently to treatment and create therapy goals for me to guide/assist you on your emotional health journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked over 20 years in the field of mental health in different environments ( in-patient, out-patient, domestic violence shelters, eating disorder units, non profit organizations, community service boards, EAP, and specialty areas: children, veterans, anxiety, and grief) has exposed me to all levels of care, departments, and programs which craft my knowledge and experience to best help guide and provide resources to my clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Have you ever been told when life gives you lemons make lemonade? Well, like most people unless you have a plan or a “recipe” then it is difficult to know where to start. I want to help you with tools and techniques to create your own “recipe” for the current journey you are on. First and foremost, I want to commend you for taking the first steps toward seeking treatment with finding a therapist. It took a lot of courage and inner strength to know your emotional health is the key ingredient to your “recipe” for balance in life.

If ever you are on the fence about talk therapy, please consider talking to Marsha. She has been wonderful. As a healthcare provider myself, I have found it historically difficult to find someone who understands what my concerns are. Marsha does. She listens, is nonjudgmental, and cares.
