New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, collaborative, and human. I bring empathy, a sense of humor, and a strong focus on building a genuine therapeutic connection. I also believe you should set the pace for counseling — this is your space, and we move in a way that feels right for you.
The first session is the intake session. That just means I will be doing some history gathering while you start to share your story with me. The first few sessions are normally focused on history gathering, and then in the second/third session we go over your goals for therapy.
My approach is grounded in family systems theories, including systemic and strategic models, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I look at how relationships, past and present, shape who we are and how we move through the world. Together, we explore patterns, strengthen communication, and develop practical tools that support healthier thoughts, behaviors, and connections.
I welcome clients from all backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I work well with individuals (18+), and couples who are curious about how their relationships and life experiences have influenced their current challenges. I am trained in grief therapy and work with clients no matter what part of their grief they are in. You may be navigating conflict, life transitions, emotional stress, or feeling stuck in patterns that keep repeating.
Attachment-based
I use a lot of attachment-based treatment in my work with couples, families, and individuals. Attachment work can often help us better understand why we react the way we do in relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT techniques to help clients identify and challenge negative thoughts and self-talk. I often use this when working with anxiety, as well as many other areas.
Couples Counseling
Couples counseling is a big umbrella of different techniques I use when working with couples.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use a lot of EFT when working with couples to help them better understand their patterns, and communication within the relationship.
Grief Therapy
I use a lot of techniques within grief therapy to help clients navigate their grief journey. I've also completed a training in grief therapy.
