I am currently working with teenagers and adults in the individual therapy setting. I have dedicated more than 30 years of my life to the helping profession of Social Work. I have worked tirelessly to advocate for the poor, elderly, disabled and those struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. I prefer to be in the present, listen to the client and partner with them to come up with a plan to meet their unique set of challenges and opportunities, not just just meet short term goals but make therapy a way to teach long term ways of coping that aid in meeting challenges in the future and not dependent on the therapist but through inner strengths that are fostered in therapy as ways to build up self-esteem, cultural pride and self worth.

You’re used to handling a lot. Whether it’s your career, your relationships, or being the person others rely on, you’ve learned how to push through—even when it’s exhausting. But at some point, pushing through stops working. I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, and relationship patterns—especially when life looks “together” on the outside but feels overwhelming or unsustainable underneath. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable, and self-aware, yet find themselves stuck in cycles like overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from themselves or others. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and attachment-based work. In our sessions, we’ll look at both the deeper patterns shaping your experiences and the practical strategies that help you feel better day-to-day. Clients often come to therapy wanting relief from constant stress or mental overload. Over time, they develop a clearer understanding of themselves, stronger boundaries, and the ability to respond to challenges with more focus and confidence. I’m active and engaged in the therapy process. I won’t just sit back and listen. I help you connect the dots, notice patterns in real time, and build tools that actually translate into your daily life. I bring 5 years of experience in community mental health, working with children, adolescents, and adults. Clients often describe me as calm, steady, and easy to talk to—while also helping them move forward in meaningful ways.

So, who am I; and what am I doing here, eh? Also, do you struggle to talk about yourself ? - 'cause I sure do. Anyways, let's see... Personnally, I identify as a neurodiverse, cis-female, middle-aged (yes, over 40yo), divorced, single mother of two human loves and one canine love who enjoys spending time outdoors, flow arts, music, and dancing and singing and laughing. Also, learning is my favorite - like, I'm a full-on brain geek, for realz. Professionally, I hold licensure through the State of Tennessee Department of Health as a Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider since March 2025 which allows me to independently provide Clinical Mental Health Counseling services - including assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of Mental and Behavioral Health issues, conditions, disorders, and illnesses. Proper and thorough clinical assessment, ethical practice, trauma-informed engagement and care, destigmatization, and advocacy are consistent characteristics of my approach toward Client care. As a therapist, I believe in building therapeutic relationships founded on honesty, transparency, respect, patience, alliance, and safety. My style of counseling is raw, uncut, and straight-forward while remaining sensitive, respectful, and culturally aware in offering constructive, caring, well-informed and growth-oriented feedback, guidance, and support. Ultimately, we're in this together. Experience: 15 years in the Restaurant/Bar Service Industry (technically not clinical experience; howerever, theoretically... iykyk :)) 5 years in Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) programming serving homeless and at-risk adolescents and young adults toward prevention and intervention of human trafficking 6 years in clinical treatment of Co-Occurring Mental Health Disorders and Substance Use Disorders (yes, I have history) serving Adults from an Integrated Therapy approach primarily through Intensive Outpatient Programs providing group and individual therapy The door to your best self is open; all you have to do is walk through it. Hello, my name is Julie Phillips and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe in supporting each other and one way I can support you is through therapy. Whether you need to process a stressful event or need to vent I am here to support you. I strive to tailor your session to meet your needs. Some sessions may need to be more strictly focused with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while other sessions are spent on learning a new coping skill such as mindfulness. Your session is about you and what may help you the most to resolve what issues you may have and to help you find your strength and empower you to keep moving forward. My aim is to make you, the client, feel comfortable in a judgement free zone. I am a licensed therapist dedicated to helping adults navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and compassion. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I believe everyone has the capacity for growth, healing, and fulfillment, and therapy can be a powerful step toward reaching that potential. I work with women and men who are managing stress, anxiety, perfectionism, or significant life transitions such as parenthood, career shifts, or relationship changes. Many of my clients are striving to balance multiple roles while also wanting to prioritize their own happiness and well-being. In our work together, I may use different modalities such psychodynamic, cognitive, humanistic, and group therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. We may explore underlying patterns, identify and shift unhelpful thought processes, and build on existing strengths. My role is to support clients in gaining insight, developing effective coping tools, and creating healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. Clients often leave therapy with a deeper sense of self, improved resilience, and the confidence to make meaningful changes. My mission is to empower both women and men to move beyond what holds them back and build lives of balance, purpose, and fulfillment.

Basically, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have a background of working with individuals but due to my family therapy training I do want to know your family situation and ways that work and don't work for you. I have been working with Medicare clients and SPMI (Severe and Persistent Mental Illness). Many time I have found that clients who usually manage their lives well can sometimes feel overwhelmed by changes that occur in their lives. I truly want to locate and focus on strengths, but want to be supportive of areas where support is needed. Life can be difficult and learning coping skills can help us navigate both the highs and lows that life brings us. If needed, I guide individual to explore and analysis their past. I am friendly and positive. I want to help you feel better. If there are traumas, I will listen. 🛷

Hi, I'm Anna. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I believe therapy should feel like a deep breath--not another thing to brace yourself for. In my office, you can exhale. You don't have to perform or polish anything up. I offer a space that's calm, honest, and rooted in trust--where it's okay to be messy, uncertain, angry, shut down, or just plain exhausted. You have a story and I'm here to help you heal. When I'm not in session, you'll usually find me making jewelry, lost in a craft project, or hanging out with my two cats (who definitely run the house) or chilling in nature. If you're looking for a grounded, real therapist to walk with you through the hard stuff--I'd be honored to work with you.

I’m Johanna. I work with creative people, and with those who are working to heal, transition, and evolve from things that have hurt them. My approach blends traditional talk therapy with deeper work. With the use of Brainspotting and Jungian interventions, because real change rarely happens at the surface, we create deep meaningful change. When we're willing to go underneath, to the place where the old story lives, we can heal it and create room to become something new.

Hello and welcome! I’m Michelle, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with more than 20 years of experience working in the field of behavioral health. I was drawn to counseling by a curiosity about human behavior—how our thoughts, relationships, and life experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the world. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Austin Peay State University and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I’m licensed in North Carolina (LCMHC), Tennessee (LPC), Kentucky (LPCC-S), and Georgia (LPC). Throughout my career, I’ve learned that there is always more to a person’s story than what we first see. I bring that understanding to each session, listening with compassion, curiosity, and respect. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, burnout, or a life transition, you don’t have to sort through it alone. My approach is warm and supportive, with honest conversations and thoughtful challenges. I’ll meet you with understanding while encouraging accountability as you grow. I know that starting therapy can feel a little uncomfortable, especially if you are used to being the one who holds everything together. My goal is to make the process feel welcoming, supportive, and real. I want you to feel like you can come in, take a breath, and be yourself. I work with adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, and the emotional weight that can come from difficult experiences. My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. We will talk through what is going on, make sense of the patterns that may be getting in your way, and work toward changes that feel realistic for your life. I do not believe therapy has to feel stiff or overly clinical. There is room for reflection, hard conversations, growth, and yes, even laughter. You do not have to have the perfect words or a clear plan before you begin. Just come as you are, and we can take it from there... together.

I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Clinical Trauma Counseling. I want to meet you right where you are and help you get to where you want to be. I know this process can be difficult so whatever I can do to make it just a little easier is what I will do. Let's see if we can get there together.

I am a Tennessee licensed therapist with more than 12 years of professional experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, transitions, and unexpected changes. My experience includes grief and loss, parenting concerns, anger and emotional regulation, relationship and family challenges, stress, and adjusting to change. I believe therapy should provide a safe, supportive space where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning. Together, we can slow things down, explore what you are experiencing, recognize your strengths, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and develop practical strategies for moving forward. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized to your needs and goals. Reaching out for support can feel uncertain, especially when you are accustomed to handling things on your own. My role is to meet you where you are and support meaningful growth and change.

I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Many of my clients are seeking clarity about important decisions, healing from difficult experiences, improving communication, strengthening relationships, or becoming the healthiest version of themselves. Clients are the experts in their own lives. My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, strengths-based, and mindfulness-informed techniques to promote emotional healing, personal growth, and resilience. My role is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can gain insight, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools to overcome challenges. I meet clients where they are, offering compassion, encouragement, and accountability while helping them identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can be your authentic self while working toward real, lasting change. I believe therapy works best when clients feel both supported and empowered. My approach is warm, authentic, and occasionally direct when needed, combining compassion, practical tools, and gentle guidance. I aim to help clients feel empowered to take the steps that matter most in their lives, while also feeling supported throughout the process. Therapy here isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you discover your own strength.

I am someone who likes to make a difference. I love helping people, and love seeing the changes client's can make when they know the path through. My therapeutic approach is inspired by a profound message from one of my favorite therapists: “You may feel like you're in the desert right now, but I will walk beside you. I won't pull you or push you. When you're tired, we'll rest. When you're scared, I'll stand with you. When you're sad, I'll sit with you. Together, we will reach the other side.” These words continue to resonate deeply with me and shape my compassionate, supportive practice.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
