Hello, I am Haley and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. As a licensed therapist, I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where clients feel truly seen and heard. I believe healing begins through authentic connection, empathy, and understanding, and I am committed to walking alongside my clients as they navigate life's challenges. My approach is rooted in care, respect, and collaboration, allowing each individual to explore their experiences at their own pace while building trust and emotional safety throughout the therapeutic process. My goal is to help clients discover their inner resiliency, strengthen their confidence, and experience meaningful personal growth. Whether working with children, teens, young adults, or parents, I aim to empower clients to better understand themselves, develop healthy coping skills, and build stronger connections in their relationships and daily lives. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am passionate about helping clients move toward a more balanced, hopeful, and fulfilling future.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first therapy session is an opportunity for us to begin building a strong foundation of trust, rapport, and comfortability. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming or unfamiliar, and I strive to create a welcoming, supportive space where clients feel safe to share at their own pace. During this initial meeting, my focus is on getting to know you as an individual, understanding what brings you to therapy, and helping you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the process. I also believe that therapy is most effective when the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for both the client and therapist. The first session allows us to explore whether the therapeutic space feels comfortable, collaborative, and aligned with your needs and goals. I encourage open communication and want each client to feel empowered in their therapy journey, knowing that finding the right connection is an important part of meaningful healing, growth, and progress.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of the greatest strengths I bring into therapy sessions is my commitment to building a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy works best when clients feel actively involved in their own healing process and empowered to share openly in a safe, nonjudgemental environment. My approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and respect, allowing clients to feel heard, understood, and supported as we work together toward meaningful goals and personal growth. I utilize evidence-based and mindfulness-focused practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches, to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. These approaches allow me to tailor therapy to each individual's unique needs while providing practical tools to build emotional awareness, healthy coping skills, confidence, and resilience. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable exploring challenges without fear of judgement, while also encouraging self-reflection, growth, and lasting change. My therapeutic style is especially beneficial when working with children, teens, young adults, and parents, as each stage of life presents unique emotional and relational challenges. I aim to meet clients where they are developmentally and emotionally, helping younger clients build emotional regulation and communication skills while supporting teens and young adults through identity development, stress, relationships, and life transitions. When working with parents, I focus on strengthening connection, understanding family dynamics, and providing support that fosters healthier communication and stronger relationships within the family system.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are children, teenagers, young adults, and parents. As a mental health therapist, I seek to create a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgemental environment where children, teenagers, young adults, and parents feel heard, understood, and empowered. I tailor each therapy session to meet the unique developmental, emotional, and relational needs of every client, helping them build healthy coping skills, improve communication, strengthen self-esteem, and navigate life's challenges with confidence. By collaborating closely with families when appropriate, I work to foster stronger relationships, emotional resilience, and lasting positive growth both inside and outside of therapy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a mental health therapist, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help client's better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. During sessions, we work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills to manage challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship difficulties. CBT is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that empowers clients to create lasting, positive changes in their daily lives.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I also use person-centered practices (Rogerian therapy) which focuses on creating a supportive, nonjudgemental environment where clients feel genuinely heard, valued, and understood. This approach allows clients to take an active role in their healing journey while building self-awareness, confidence, and emotional growth at their own pace. By emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, I aspire to help clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. Person-centered therapy can be especially helpful in fostering stronger self-esteem, improving communication, developing healthier coping skills, and empowering clients to recognize their own strengths and ability to create meaningful change in their lives.

Eclectic

While CBT and person-centered approaches are often my go-to therapy approaches, I additionally operate on the belief that no two people are the same. With that, eclectic therapy is an approach that combines techniques and strategies from multiple therapeutic methods to best meet the unique needs of each client. Rather than relying on a single style of therapy or a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor sessions by integrating approaches such as CBT, person-centered, mindfulness practices, solution-focused techniques, and other supportive interventions based on each client's goals, strengths, and experiences. This flexible approach allows therapy to feel more individualized, collaborative, and effective by helping clients develop lasting growth in a way that feels supportive and personalized to them.
