About me

Hello! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience, and I consider it one of my greatest privileges to walk alongside clients as they navigate their journey toward healing, growth, and greater self-understanding. I believe deeply in the power of hope—especially during seasons of life when hope can feel difficult to find or hold onto. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming therapeutic space where you feel truly seen, heard, and respected. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and collaboration. Together, we’ll work toward understanding your experiences, navigating life’s challenges, and creating healthier, more connected relationships—with yourself and with others.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a collaborative approach to the therapy room. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you—to create space for your story, listen deeply, and gently challenge you when I believe it could help you see something from a different perspective. I am naturally curious about people—their thoughts, their actions, and the stories they have come to believe about themselves and their lives. I’m especially interested in exploring the narratives we carry and asking an important question: Is this story still serving you, or is it holding you back? When I see another possibility or perspective, I won’t hesitate to offer it, but I do so with compassion, honesty, and respect. My hope is never to tell you who you should be, but to help you become more aware of who you are and what you truly want. Above all, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can bring all of yourself into the room—the parts you’re proud of, the parts that feel difficult, and even the parts you may have learned to hide. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come. My hope is that, together, we can make room for every part of your story and begin moving toward greater freedom, healing, and connection.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is willing to take that first step—even if they aren’t completely sure they’re ready. I believe none of us are ever fully ready for change. Sometimes, we simply have to take a leap of faith and see what can happen. I consider it a brave and meaningful choice to reach out for support. My role is to meet you right where you are and walk alongside you from there. You don’t have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Maybe you have a small sense of what you’d like to change, understand, or work through. And if you don’t, that’s okay too. We can discover that together. My hope is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and encouraged as you begin to understand yourself more deeply and take steps toward the life and relationships you want.

My treatment methods

Narrative

I incorporate narrative therapy by exploring the stories we have told ourselves about who we are, what we have experienced, and what is possible for our lives. Together, we can begin to examine and reshape the stories that may be keeping you stuck. I also believe it can be powerful to separate the person from the problem—to recognize that the challenges you are facing are something you are experiencing, not who you are. From there, we can explore where boundaries may need to be strengthened, where old patterns can be released, and how you can continue growing into the person you are today.

EMDR

EMDR therapy is incorporated into my work when the body continues to react to memories as though they are still happening in the present. EMDR is a highly researched approach to working with individuals who have experienced trauma, helping the mind and body process difficult experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming or immediate. My hope is to help clients move toward a greater sense of safety, understanding, and freedom from the past.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy explores how our earliest relationships with primary caregivers can shape the way we experience ourselves and others throughout our lives. These early experiences can influence our emotional patterns, sense of safety, ability to trust, and the ways we connect in relationships. Together, we can explore how these early attachment experiences may still show up in your relationships with yourself, others, and, when meaningful to you, your relationship with God or your higher power. Understanding these patterns can create space for healing, greater self-awareness, and the opportunity to develop healthier, more secure ways of connecting.
