New to Grow
Hi, I'm Anna. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I believe therapy should feel like a deep breath--not another thing to brace yourself for. In my office, you can exhale. You don't have to perform or polish anything up. I offer a space that's calm, honest, and rooted in trust--where it's okay to be messy, uncertain, angry, shut down, or just plain exhausted. You have a story and I'm here to help you heal. When I'm not in session, you'll usually find me making jewelry, lost in a craft project, or hanging out with my two cats (who definitely run the house) or chilling in nature. If you're looking for a grounded, real therapist to walk with you through the hard stuff--I'd be honored to work with you.
Together we will work on your story and journey to healing. You will be treated in a calm, safe , non judgmental environment where we will work on problem solving together. It can take a while to build rapport so be patient ; changes do not happen over night. I am open to treatment recommendations from my clients and keep good communication with them.
work with folks facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions--especially those who've been through things they don't talk about easily. I have a special place in my heart for people who've grown up in survival mode, and for those carrying invisible weight. My style is steady and compassionate. I'll show up as a real person in the room with you, and I'll meet you with curiosity, not judgment. I draw from narrative therapy, CBT, solution-focused work, and holistic approaches--tailored to your needs, not a one-size-fits-all model.
I especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ clients, first responders, women's issues, life transitions, grief, military folks, and anyone with a complicated relationship to identity, safety, or belonging.
I Identify clients strengths and how they can use them to help solve problems to achieve positive change in their lives.
I teach clients they are in control of their own actions and behaviors helping them learn how to cope and improve their lives.
Clients can learn and process emotions in a safe and comfortable setting to develop emotional awareness, work on attachment issues, and better communication styles.
I teach clients stages of grief and teach them coping skills while processing their emotions.
I examine motivational issues with clients helping them get "unstuck" and look at their ambivalence to change and how it effects their behavior.
