About me

As a seasoned therapist, I have experience working with a broad range of mental health and life challenges. I believe effective therapy begins with creating a safe, respectful environment where clients can explore their concerns, ask meaningful questions, and discover practical answers that lead to positive, lasting change. My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while recognizing that every client is unique. When appropriate, I incorporate other therapeutic modalities and techniques to meet the individual needs, goals, and circumstances of each person. My practice includes marriage and family counseling, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, concerns related to aging, workplace and career challenges, conflict resolution and mediation, and faith-based counseling when requested. I welcome individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds and with a wide variety of concerns. My goal is not simply to help clients manage their symptoms, but to help them develop healthier coping skills, gain greater self-understanding, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose. I also value collaboration. Over the years, I have developed a network of physicians, mental health professionals, and spiritual advisors whose knowledge and perspective I can draw upon when it may benefit a client. I believe good therapy sometimes means recognizing when additional expertise or a different perspective is needed. Most importantly, I believe therapy is about the client—not the therapist. If a client or I determine that I am not the best fit for their particular needs, I will do everything I can to help them find a professional who is better suited to assist them. My priority is always helping the client receive the care that gives them the best opportunity to heal, grow, and move forward.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will begin with brief introductions and an opportunity for you to share what brings you to therapy. Together, we will identify your primary concerns, discuss your goals, and establish priorities for what you would like to accomplish through the therapeutic process. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where we can work together to identify meaningful and practical steps toward positive change. I offer both in-person and virtual counseling sessions: Monday & Thursday: In-person sessions available Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: Virtual sessions only We will determine the approach that best fits your needs and schedule.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

My approach is eclectic; however, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been my go-to approach with most clients.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work with adults aged 18 and older and strive to meet each client where they are with compassion, understanding, and without judgment. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is an important part of successful counseling, and I recognize that not every therapist is the right fit for every person. I encourage clients to be open and honest about their experience, including if they feel another therapist may be a better match for their needs. My goal is to help each client move toward greater clarity, growth, and positive change. If another counselor best supports that journey, I will fully support that decision and help facilitate the transition when appropriate. My priority is always the client's well-being and helping them find the support that best meets their individual needs.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people from age 18 to 99, partnering with them to address the unique challenges they present. Ideal clients are those that are willing to set goals and have a determination to meet those goals making life easier to navigate. The ideal client understands the importance of putting words into actions and engaging meaningfully in the process.
