Hello and welcome. It means a lot that you’ve taken this step. Every person carries such a unique story shaped by resilience and strength. Sometimes, those stories can feel heavy or overwhelming, and we may find ourselves needing a space to breathe and process. My hope is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and empowered to heal.
In our work together, I take a compassionate and collaborative approach that meets you where you are, supporting you in working through current challenges while building toward the future that is possible. I typically practice in the Solution-Focused umbrella, incorporating Narrative Therapy into my work. Solution-Focused Therapy helps you identify your strengths and move toward your goals; while Narrative Therapy encourages exploring one’s personal story from the past, separating the individual from their problems, and envisioning how you want your story to continue.
My experience consists of helping clients with family conflicts, trauma and abuse, parenting issues, mood disorders, anxiety, and depression. I have taught parenting classes for many years, which allowed me to help parents strengthen their relationships with their children and build more confident, nurturing connections. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the challenges families and individuals face, and reinforced my commitment to supporting each person’s unique journey toward healing and growth.
I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, with 13 of those years dedicated to being a therapist. I am licensed to provide therapy to individuals across the state of Tennessee. It’s truly an honor to support people as they reconnect with themselves, rediscover hope, and move toward healing. Supporting others through life’s challenges is deeply fulfilling work, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be present with you on your journey.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out! Do you ever have those days when things are especially difficult?? Many of the people that I meet are looking for support with mental health, substance abuse, and managing traumatic events. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I also have extensive experience supporting teenagers who have experienced trauma, which led me to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Currently, I work with adults and youth, and I'm a strong believer in the mental/physical health connection. I am currently a social worker for a small hospice team in my area so am comfortable having uncomfortable conversations.
I believe in strengths-based recovery that looks at all the systems that can impact us. Bits and pieces of different models incorporated together tend to have the most benefit, based on the person's needs. I have seen so many great successes! I enjoy supporting the people I work with and going through their journey with them. I am currently licensed in both IL and TN. When I am not in sessions, you will find me hiking with the doggos, road-tripping in the Jeep, and going into "Mom Mode" with my three kids.
I look forward to connecting with you :)
Hi im Greg Kirkham! Im a licensed therapist, practicing for over 21 years. I specialize in treating trauma. Hi! I'm Abby and I have worked for nearly ten years in the mental health field at various levels: crisis, residential, private practice, and intensive in-home with clients ranging from children to older adults. It's a privilege to walk through the counseling process with clients. As someone who has personal and professional history working with some of the hardest mental health symptoms, I feel passionately about helping folks from all walks of life find peace and meaningfulness in their current lives. I work with a variety of clients, and am so excited to start the counseling journey with you! I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to explore values, work towards finding meaning, and find relief from chronic symptoms. I also sprinkle in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to look at how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors work together. Add in trauma-informed care, and you've got the foundation of how I approach my work. We're all a patchwork of our lived experience, and each part matters.
Hello there! I'm Patrick Powell. I think of myself as a practitioner, counselor educator, and researcher. I work with children, adults, couples, and families. I think of counseling as a process where you and I build a relationship and work together to address whatever issues are impacting you. I'm a holistic counselor, meaning that I will explore multiple aspects of your life, including how you engage socially, how you think about situations, how you manage or express your emotions, your behaviors and skills, the quality of your interactions with family and friends, and several other areas of funcitoning. I'm also a strength-based counselor. I believe that we all have untapped resources, both internal and external, that we can use to make our lives better.
I have worked in non-profit and two private practice environments. In terms of my credentials, I received a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling and a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. Along with clinical practice, I have served as a faculty member in clinical mental health counseling programs since 2011. I train future generations of counselors to work with people.
I hold several licenses and certifications. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee. I am also a Qualified Supervisor in Florida. I have published several manuscripts, a book on the assessment and treatment of trauma and I have current works in press. I also often deliver presentations on process addictions and other topics at the SACES and ACA conventions.
My counseling style is communicative and warm. I emphasize clients' strengths and life experiences, and encourage the clients as they move through their journeys of self-awareness and personal growth. I draw from a number of methodologies, which are tailored to fit the uniqueness of each individual, couple, or family. Among these are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
I have been a therapist for over 25 years with my LCSW and training from the state of Georgia and The University of Georgia. I have my license in the states of Georgia and Tennessee. I enjoy helping patients learn new ways in dealing with their current or past issues. I have trauma training as well as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy training. I incorporate all of these to help people learn new coping skills and move forward in their lives.
Through my years of practice I have come to understand that the most important factor in having a positive and productive therapy experience is the solid collaboration between the therapist and the patients. In a trusting, confidential and empathic environment one can manage challenging issues and find a way towards self improvement and further growth. I provide support and guidance and encourage self determination to help my client reach goals that are important to them. It's a valuable partnership in which I hope to assist in finding a way to more fulfilling relationships, more satisfaction and greater self esteem.
I bring over 12 years of experience helping children and adults navigate life’s challenges, including
addiction, trauma, parent-child conflicts, marital and family issues, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions. My background in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), along with other evidence-based approaches, allows me to tailor therapy to your unique needs. My goal is to help you build a sense of stability, hope, and authenticity as we work together toward meaningful change.

I specialize in women's issues: self image, hormonal changes, sexual issues including desire issues, pain and trauma. Other issues addressed both male and female: relationships, anxiety, depression, grief & loss.
I want to partner with you on your journey to mental health and wellness.
Through my experience, I have learned that sharing my presence is much more important than providing answers. While my education in psychology and marriage and family therapy is valuable, my ability to connect with people in and through their pain is priceless. My approach combines practical insight with reflective conversation to help you better understand yourself and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.
Oftentimes, it is helpful to be reminded that emotional peace and happiness are possible. I strive to create a safe and accepting environment where individuals can fully explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a meaningful way. The purpose of therapy is to embark on a path that will help you find balance within yourself and with the interpersonal relationships that you value. Although therapy can be challenging, it can also yield rewards for those who are willing to be consistent, vulnerable, and engaged. If you are open to the therapeutic process, I look forward to partnering with you on this journey. In our work together, we will find ways for you to become your most authentic self and in the process rediscover peace of mind, self-truth, and happiness.

Hello! My name is Stacey Shine.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, past trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed by daily life, therapy can offer clarity and relief. I work with individuals and couples to explore what’s not working, uncover inner strengths, and develop practical tools for real, lasting change.
Clients often share that they feel at ease in our sessions—that therapy feels low-stress, grounded, and collaborative. My goal is to create a space where you can speak freely, feel safe, and do meaningful work toward your personal goals.
My approach is warm, direct, and personalized. I draw from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method for couples, and Strengths-Based techniques. Whether we're tackling anxiety, improving communication, or building resilience, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.
Therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating. It can be a supportive space to pause, reflect, and grow—and you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
Hello, and welcome. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Union University. I work primarily with adults who feel overwhelmed by stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or persistent emotional patterns they don’t fully understand.
Many of my clients come to therapy wondering, “Why do I keep reacting this way?” or “Why does this feel harder for me than it should?” Together, we explore the underlying patterns that shape your thoughts, emotions, and responses. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in helping you gain insight while also building practical tools you can use in everyday life.
Life can feel chaotic at times. My goal is to help you create more stability, clarity, and calm — not by changing who you are, but by helping you better understand yourself and respond with intention rather than overwhelm.
If you’re ready to begin that process, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
Hi, I’m Mariah. I’m a licensed therapist who loves helping individuals navigate anxiety, hoplessness, trauma, and life transitions. I believe every person deserves a safe space to explore their emotions without judgment.
After a decade in the mental health field, I’ve discovered that lasting change grows from a safe space to share your story, practical education that empowers you, and genuine compassion that keeps you going even when life inevitably gets tough.
Hello! I'm Rebecca. In my more than 10 years as a counselor, I have been humbled by the experiences of my clients. Choosing to seek counseling is hard. It means being vulnerable with a stranger to say, "I need help," and, "I can't fix this by myself." I would like to guide you on your journey to healing. I help my clients through the difficult and emotional process of healing relationships and overcoming the challenges of life in all its stages.
Our past experiences often influence how we view ourselves and interact in relationships. Sometimes, those patterns stem from pain and continue to affect us in ways that can keep us feeling stuck or disconnected. If you’re seeking healing and growth with a desire to or break negative cycles and are ready for change, I’d be honored to help you navigate what comes next and walk alongside you.

I understand how early relationships shape the way we see ourselves and others. As someone who was adopted at birth and grew up navigating change and complex family dynamics, I developed a deep respect for each person’s story and how attachment wounds are formed and healed.
In our work together, we create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. We move at a pace that honors your story while gently working toward meaningful change. I believe healing happens when we feel seen, understood, and supported — not rushed or judged.
I have approximately 30 years of experience in virtually all clinical settings. I began my career working in a juvenile penitentiary (referred to as a 'youth development center) and after almost 6 years, left that setting and moved on to new opportunities. Along the way, I worked with group homes, foster homes, substance abuse treatment programs, and even provided treatment in a sexual offender treatment program. In 2004 I went solely into private practice and currently operate two offices. I also provided on-site services to businesses that suffer a death or other disruptive event; I have provided over 170 of these services in four states during the last several years. While you don't need any faith to see me, I also offer Christian Counseling. Finally, I am a US Army veteran and understand the challenges and needs of veterans.
I operate under a practical approach that seeks to build on a person's strengths to achieve realistic, measurable goals. I utilize primarily cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy to help my clients achieve their goals and to live life more fully.

There is an excitement that comes from building your own self-assurance and confidence as you stand securely in the story you want to live. Sometimes we wait to change our story because we don't feel ready. My hope is that we can all have the wisdom and courage to explore ourselves with compassion so that we can better love ourselves and love others.
