I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider in the state of Tennessee. I am compassionate and experienced with 19 years of practice in helping individuals navigate the challenges of depression and anxiety. With a deep understanding of the emotional and mental struggles many individuals face, I offer a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard and empowered.
The first session with me is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust and understanding. There is no pressure just a conversation to begin your path toward healing and personal growth. I will ask you some questions about your background and your current concerns, and what brought you into therapy. This helps me understand your situation so we can customize the sessions to your specific needs. It will also be a chance for you to share your goals and what you would like to achieve in therapy. I will explain how I work and my models of therapy we may use. I will answer any questions you may have about the process. I would like you to feel safe and heard and supported in a confidential space. Together we will develop and create a plan that feels right for you.

CBT is a type of therapy that focus on identifying and changing unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and behaviors. You will work on identifying those negative thinking patterns and challenging and replacing them with healthy positive and realistic ones. CBT has been proven to be helpful in many conditions such as anxiety, depression and PTSD.
Humanistic therapy is therapy which emphasizes, self awareness, personal growth, and the human capacity for self-healing and change. It focuses on helping people reach their full potential and live more genuine ,authentic lives.
Mindfulness- Based therapy uses mindfulness practices such as paying attention on purpose in the present moment to help you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings and behaviors.
