New to Grow
I bring over 12 years of experience helping children and adults navigate life’s challenges, including addiction, trauma, parent-child conflicts, marital and family issues, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions. My background in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), along with other evidence-based approaches, allows me to tailor therapy to your unique needs. My goal is to help you build a sense of stability, hope, and authenticity as we work together toward meaningful change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
We’ll start by identifying the challenges you’re facing and the goals you’d like to achieve—whether that’s where you want to be in a month, six months, or a year. Together, we’ll explore strategies to help you move forward and overcome obstacles along the way. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel relief and empowerment, knowing you’ve taken your first step toward healing.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe that the answers you’re looking for already exist within you. My role is to create a safe, supportive, and honest space where you can unpack what’s been holding you back and begin discovering your own solutions. I’ll walk alongside you as you explore your truth and take steps toward living the life you want.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I often describe therapy as a shared hike—sometimes smooth and beautiful, other times rocky and uncertain. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (and an avid hiker myself), I see my role as your guide and companion on this journey. When things feel dark or unclear, I’ll help illuminate the path ahead, but you’ll always decide which direction to take. Together, we’ll move forward with curiosity, courage, and hope. You don’t have to face the climb alone—I’ll be right beside you, offering encouragement, insight, and support each step of the way.
Strength-Based
Everyone possesses strengths, some of which are acknowledged by clients while others remain less apparent. My objective is to identify these strengths, recognize them, and empower clients to leverage them as a means to achieve their goals.
Attachment-based
Attachment-based counseling centers around assisting clients in developing or reconstructing healthy, trusting relationships. This approach facilitates healing from within by restoring their capacity to give and receive love, establish trust, and feel secure in their connections. During therapy, I provide a consistent, safe, and caring presence, which aids in rebuilding a sense of safety that becomes a “corrective experience.” This experience empowers clients to build healthy relationships.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
This approach acknowledges and respects your unique values, background, and experiences by listening with respectful curiosity, free from assumptions or judgment. I recognize power dynamics and lived experiences that may impact your mental health and adapt treatment to align with your beliefs, values, and comfort level. My approach is not a “one-size fits all.” I believe that when therapy honors your culture and identity, a stronger sense of safety, trust, and authenticity is built, enabling you to be your true self.
Psychoeducation
This approach empowers clients in their therapy by providing them with a range of coping skills, therapy approaches, parenting skills, and insights into family dynamics that are tailored to their specific needs.
Family Therapy
Every family encounters stress at times. Illness, loss, significant transitions, or misunderstandings can challenge even the strongest families to maintain harmony. Family therapy provides an opportunity for each family member to be heard and gain insight into the perspectives of others. My role is to facilitate respectful and productive interactions, even when emotions run high.
