If you've ever wished your brain came with a user manual, you're not alone. Life can get complicated. Sometimes our minds make it even more complicated. For more than 31 years, I've helped people of all ages work through anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, self-doubt, and the effects of difficult life experiences. My approach is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping you make meaningful changes—not just talk about problems. If you're tired of overthinking, feeling stuck, or carrying burdens that seem heavier than they should be, therapy can help. Together, we'll identify what's getting in the way and develop strategies that fit your life and goals.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, we focus on understanding your main concerns and what brought you to therapy. We’ll identify the challenges you’re facing, begin clarifying goals, and define what meaningful change would look like in practical terms. My approach is structured and collaborative, so we use this time to start organizing the work in a clear, focused way. By the end of the first session, you should have a better sense of direction, what we’ll be working on, and the initial steps forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my work apart is a structured, direct, and solution-focused approach that emphasizes practical change rather than insight alone. I help clients move beyond understanding patterns to actively changing them through realistic strategies they can apply in daily life. Sessions are active and collaborative, with a focus on identifying what keeps people stuck, building effective coping skills, and creating clear steps toward meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with many clients struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, or trauma related to past abuse or past relationships. My clients range is age from adolescents to seniors.

This was my first appointment with Robert. I liked his style as we talked. He was very encouraging and to the point as well. I felt good about scheduling future appointments and him helping me get better.

I found this provider thru my insurance and after reading the provider description felt that we may be a match due to the experience stated with marital issue and a Christian perspective. However, did not feel that the advice given was as constructive/beneficial as what we were looking for. Didn't feel there was a connection made or interest to make a connection.
