About me

Hi, I’m Virginia, a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in Tennessee and an LPC in Virginia. I have over seven years of experience providing therapy and counseling services to children, teens, and adults. For the first five years of my career, I specialized in child and adolescent therapy, helping young people navigate emotional challenges, family transitions, school stress, and life changes. In the past two years, my work has expanded to include crisis counseling and intervention, supporting individuals and families through moments of acute distress with care and stability. I’m also passionate about maternal mental health—working with new and experienced moms as they adjust to motherhood, manage postpartum stress or anxiety, and reconnect with their identity and well-being. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients of all ages can explore their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthier coping strategies. Whether you’re seeking support for your child, guidance during a crisis, or help finding balance as a mom, I’m here to walk with you on your journey toward healing and growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to have questions or even a little uncertainty about what to expect. During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other in a comfortable, judgment-free space. You’ll have the opportunity to share what’s been going on in your life, what led you to seek counseling, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll explore your goals and begin building a personalized plan that fits your unique needs—whether that’s improving emotional regulation, supporting your child through a difficult transition, managing stress, or finding balance in motherhood. I view therapy as a collaborative process. While I bring clinical expertise and therapeutic tools, you bring your lived experience and insight. We’ll work as a team to identify patterns, develop healthy coping skills, and create a path forward that feels authentic and achievable for you. Every session is tailored to where you are in the moment. Some days may focus on practical strategies and skill-building; others may be more reflective or focused on processing emotions. The pace and direction of therapy are guided by your comfort level and your goals. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and empowered—with a clearer understanding of yourself and the next steps toward positive change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I strive to create a space where every person feels seen, heard, and valued. Building authentic connections with my clients is one of my greatest strengths and the cornerstone of the work we do together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in helping people who are going through big changes or difficult life events and need support finding their footing again. My clients often come to me feeling frustrated or unsure of how to move forward, but they’re ready to make positive changes. In our work together, we focus on building the tools, confidence, and emotional strength needed to navigate challenges and create the life they want.
